Hello! Welcome to the community! I've struggled with weight my entire life also. I've tried various centers and didn't change my lifestyle until now either. We're all headed for the same goal!

Depending on what you want to do; I use bodybuilding.com. It's free, it's simple. I made an account, filled out my age, weight, height, etc. and then used the tools to tailor a weekly workout routine that mixes weights and cardio. I work out 5 days a week and rest two. Most workouts take around an hour. I just bookmarked…

I just have a simple plastic tumbler that I got from participating in an event. It's double walled, so slightly insulated, and the straw through the lid isn't attached, but has a little ring around the straw to keep it from sliding through the lid. Until I got this cup, I struggled with the bottles and open mouthed cups…

^^^ Same. I have a 20 oz tumbler with a straw/lid on it. I tried water bottles, open cups, mugs, all kinds of stuff and struggled to get the water in.. got the tumbler (from doing a corporate challenge at work) and have no problem putting away 4 (or more) a day.

I've done some running in the snow. It doesn't bother me other than the burn on my lungs. Other than that, I just have to remember to use a shorter, quicker cadence/stride so that I'm better able to recover if I hit a slick spot. Warm weather cadence is longer and if your foot slides, you're more apt to get an injury.

Awesome news! WTG!!

MFP's numbers are usually under my heart rate monitor, but over what some of the machines say. That being said, a 130lb person is not going to require as many calories to run for an hour as say a 230lb person. I generally split the difference between the MFP and my HRM to be safe.

Great job!! You've done incredible! Also, you're an inspiration to those of us who have a lot to lose and weren't sure if all the extra comes off without looking good.

This is what I do also, but I measure as well wherever possible.

Breakfast is bad.. meat is bad... fat is bad.. carbs are bad.. eating is bad.. cooking is bad... meh.. whatever. I was convinced for years that simply breathing made me fatter... now I do less eating and more exercising and keep tabs on things... HEY! Things are going in the right direction. What a crazy concept.

I'm not new either. Sent ya a friend request. I've been stuck at my current plateau for a while now. I'm looking to double down and hit it harder than I have been lately.

I've been trying to take it slow this time. I've lost weight really fast before and it usually came back. I've lost 60+ since January 2012 (Jan 21st I think to be exact). It's just been a slow process. I exercise 5-6 times a week and count calories. Honestly, the scale has been stuck within 5lbs of the same weight for the…

When I joined here.. the person that referred me told me this: "It's a great site. There are helpful people. Stay away from the forums as much as possible."
