I can't stand most of the Yankees anyways. I'm with ya on setting an example for kids though. You want more? Work hard for it... don't cheat to get there. On top of that, if they have all the evidence they say they have against A-Roid, and don't ban him for life... Well, they need to let Shoeless Joe back in and Pete Rose…

You'll drive yourself crazy if you read all the internet blogs about what's good, what isn't good... what's safe, what isn't safe, etc. We're all gonna die from something. Enjoy life. Figure out what nutrition plan works for you and stick with it to reach your goal. If that includes a diet soda or tea, so be it. If you…

PB2 is great. It's portable, easy to store, easy to mix, goes great in smoothies or other recipes. You can make some decent protein bars with it and some chocolate protein powder and such also.

Generally, I walk or jog to and from the Gym. Depending on how much of a 'jello leg' I have going on determines that. It's only a 5-10 minute trip each way anyways.

LOL! Right?

Same here, or the Eat Good, Look Great brand. I use 30 cal Almond Milk with mine.

I'd rather them take the time and fix it right if they've figured it out than it breaking and going down daily. It's been a chore lately trying to post or comment any updates from mobile lately.

Great job man. Very inspirational. I'm trying to do a similar transformation myself.

There's the Jawbone UP, the Fitbits, and maybe a few others. There's several tracking apps under the apps tab that also plug directly into this. Many of those have HRM straps that you can get for them as well.

Sending a friend request over also. I've been working at losing 100+ since January of last year. I, too, have also tried various different centers and fads and so on to lose the weight. They worked temporarily, but I could never keep it off. This way, I'm doing it slow and steady and trying to do it at the ~1lb/wk rate…

Yep. This. I pay a little extra for the good ground coffee at Costco instead of the "run o' the mill" Folgers or Maxwell House. It makes a big difference.

I basically just followed what was in my calorie range on MFP and tried to get SOME kind of exercise in 4-5 times a week. It doesn't have to be some spectacular feat of athletic prowess, just get moving.. walking, riding a bike, etc. Close to 70lbs later, I'm running 5k races with regularity, I've expanded my menu some and…

Hello, and welcome! I'll send you a friend request over. I've been at this for a little over a year. I've lost close to 70 here and another 5-10 on my own before that. The biggest thing to remember is that it didn't all pile on overnight, so don't expect it to come off that fast either.

I'm a bit slower in the cold.. but I'm a bit slower when it's hot too. My body prefers to run when it's between about 50-75F. That's when I get my best times.

My wife has Ariat boots and she loves them. She prefers the squared toe boots and rounded toe boots to the traditional pointed toes. I have a pair of Justins' that I've had for years and they're still just as comfortable as ever.

Incredible transformation.. you're smokin' too!
-
You look incredible! Great job!

Ya gotta be careful between the browser and the mobile app. If people set custom categories for meals and stuff, they didn't used to line up right or show correctly either.
-
I always leave 100 or so calories or approx 10% off when I mark down my HRM cals.

Anything over 25-30/person is expensive, but I live in the Midwest. I think it's probably different depending on where you live.

I prefer running outdoors for a number of reasons: 1) If I plan out my route/distance, I know exactly how far I have to go before I'm finished. -on a treadmill, I find myself looking down at the time/distance too much 2) I'm a big guy and have a heavy foot strike, even on the front of my foot. I hate pounding away on the…

Try adding stuff like natural peanut butter, almond butter, and raw nuts/dry fruit to pick up some of the slack. The nuts add healthy fats and protein, the fruits give you vitamins and a few good sugars. As with all things, do this in moderation. I think a handful of almonds (about 28) is like 125-150 cals. 2 Tbsp of…
