I totally agree with this. I find if I deprive myself I go crazy and pig out. If I allow myself food in moderation, it isn't bad for me, I add it into my daily calories, and I don't crave it. I really enjoy bringing a salad with me to lunch. I chop up cucumbers to put in in. I also hard boil eggs and slice it up to add to my salad. I bring baby carrots as a snack. I add bacon bits and ranch dressing. It sounds like a lot but it is low in calories.
