Tonic has nearly the same calories as Coke, diet tonic has zero. In my experience, diet tonic is difficult to find in bars so I agree, soda is a good way to go.

As other posters have mentioned gaining 4-5 lbs from a bad weekend is nearly impossible. I have a similar situation coming up next week and I plan to make sure to get a good workout in during the morning, stick to the lighter calorie drinks (MGD 64 or vodka w/ diet tonic and lime) and have a really freakin' good time. When…

I see that you're in WV which means you're probably part of this extreme heat sweeping the country and that could easily be part of it. It's much harder to run at your same pace when it's hot, your body works harder to keep you cool at 90+ degrees than it does if it's cooler. I've always heard 60 degrees is the average…

^This is exactly what I was going to stay but RuthieCass is quicker than I am.

Hello and welcome, I'm in the Columbus area!

Hah! That's right, for whatever reason the author refused to use the word "condom" and constantly had Ana referring to her lady parts as "my sex".

Eat food, mostly plants, not too much.

Appropriate for non-prudish adults: yes, appropriate for teens: no. The books are ok, not great but not bad. If' you're read the first Twilight, take out the vampire/werewolf stuff and add in BDSM and you basically have the story. IMO, there are many books that are much better out there but 50 Shades is certainly the fad…

I like Hadley too, it was the name of Ernest Hemingway's first wife. I recently read The Paris Wife, which is why I know that. Personally, I would stay away from "Top 20" names simply because of overuse and I would stay away from the truly bizarre. I also hate when people take a "regular" name and spell it strangely like…

I can't help but notice you often don't log anything for dinner. Do you eat dinner? Is your afternoon snack considered dinner? A couple of days your calories were way under but other times they're right where they're suppose to be. Maybe the 1000 calorie days are making you extra hungry too, you should always be eating…

Agreed, that is one of the most powerful videos I've ever seen.

Workout video inside or wait till dark. It's about 93 degrees here today too and I'm going for a run after sunset.

Johnny Cash's version of Hurt sends chills down my spine every time I hear it.

I-O! We should be friends

   College Football, you guys can keep the NFL though The food I can work around but the beer, oh the beer, that's the problem. Lately I've been trying to stick to MGD 64, it helps a little. And in case it isn't obvious from my picture and ticker, GO BUCKEYES!

That person might want to look into those higher education options. $400 won't get you much in Cbus, well it will get you that guy and his unplayed Xbox I guess.

Strength training is an option under cardio, no idea why the actual strength training part doesn't deduct calories or why anyone would even use it.

Most marathon training programs require that you are able to run at least 3-5 miles to begin with. A lot of people on here use the Couch to 5K program to get them to 3.1 miles. Personally, I've not done it as I can run that far but I've heard good things. I don't want to be discouraging but a marathon is a lofty goal with…

While I understand the practicality of this, it is terrible etiquette. It's rude to ask people for money, it's even considered rude for the bride and groom to point out where they are registered. Registry info should go out with shower invites so that it's coming from someone other than the bride. Speaking of showers, does…

Mine was last Saturday at the Ohio State Women's Football Clinic. I may never take it down :) It was also a few hours before I, and a bunch of other women, got to run some football drills like the team including a (real) pushup contest (I did 16, the winner did 160).

Sounds good

If you're serious about running, I would make a trip to the non-boonies, maybe you can tie that in with something else like taking the kids to the zoo or going to a concert? If you find the right shoe once, you can keep reordering that same shoe without having to make that long trip each time. I would guess road runner…

They are probably the wrong size. As everyone else suggested, you should go to a running specialty store. They will be able to find exactly the right shoes for you, any quality running store will let you take the shoes for a test run that day as well. Prepare to spend at least $100. Also, once you get them ONLY use them…

I've always enjoyed yoga classes at my gym. There are many types of yoga, some more strenuous than others but they will all help your balance and flexibility, which are very important. Don't get discouraged if you can't do all the moves right away, some take time.
