I find it very hard to believe that you can't eat any fruit or any vegetable prepared any number of different ways . It may take some experiementation in cooking but you will eventually have to find a way. You don't have to like them all but if you want to lose weight it's time to grow up and eat like an adult. Also,…

Costumes are always welcome at road races, likely quite a few people will have something crazy on. My favorite road races are Halloween dress up 5 or 10Ks. I'll be running the 50,000+ strong Race for the Cure in Columbus on Saturday in a pink wig :)

MPW? ~15- varies What's your favorite distance? 10K Brand of shoes? Nike Indoor or outdoors? Outdoors Music or no music? I can't listen to music if I'm running outside, not being able to hear my surroundings is too unnerving. Music inside though. Most hated run? (intervals, tempo, hills, etc) anything over 82 degrees or on…

How do you think you're not getting smaller if your old clothes are too big?

It's a good cardio workout if you do it hard enough to get your heart rate elevated for a period of time. As with any excerise, you get what you put in. I, personally, hate ellipticals, I will run on a treadmill any day before doing that.

Losing weight is hard, you're going to have to figure out what works for you. It will boil down to some version of eating less calories, excerising more and not making excuses. MFP can be a huge asset in helping you, it gives you a guideline on how much to eat etc but as you become more familar with the message boards,…

Congratulations, that's wonderful and running can easily morph into a lifetime habit. If you really want to work on speed, make one of your runs each week speed intervals (like doing one lap on a track at a pace faster than 9:16, then walking to recover, run another lap at that pace etc) or on hills.

Most gyms have child watch times, except maybe really small gyms. If you have a local YMCA, check that out. They always have daycare and often times have great kids programs- swimming, crafts etc that you can do together on the weekends. Most chain gyms have child watch too like Urban Active, Lifestyle, Lifetime.

Take a clock and some kind of air freshner for the bathroom in your stateroom. If you have an interior room, you have no way to tell the time of day because you can't see the sun and my room didn't have an alarm clock of any kind plus my US cell phone didn't work/cost to much to use.

I'm no expert but at first glance it looks like alot of your calories come from alcohol. Perhaps your body doesn't think you're eating enough since all of those alcohol calories provide nothing but a buzz. Also, not changing for 8 days isn't much of a plateau.

I'm doing this one too, since you guys are in/near Ohio you should check it out! http://www.indianmudrun.com/

I'm doing a Warrior Dash on June 3 and I've been following the Dash's 12 week training plan, which I like. If you look it up, I'm doing the "Casual Warrior" one, which is a good work out. I have a 5 miler and lifting to do tonight :)

I started this last week but quickly realized how many calories 3500 truly is, it's the equivalent of me running about 30 miles in a week. I'm going to lower it to 3000 this week but I still don't know if I'll make it. The training plan I'm following which requires 4 days of cardio and 3 of lifting will just not burn this…

Make sure you aren't running with your fists tightened. Hold your hands as if you were holding onto a potato chip.

I grew up in the Appalachian foothills, they are not fun either way but running up them is better than biking up them any day.
