You and your body know if you're eating enough or not. You know if you're healthy or not. She might be a bit jealous and maybe needs some encouragement of her own. Or, like with most negativity, you should just ignore her and move on. It's nice to see everyone here come to support you and that's what it should be about. On…

Makes sense. Getting a degree and getting honors in training gave me more confidence than anything ever has. It's nice to be good at what I do.

24 and still here trying to support people. feel free to add me.

Share protein shake flavors and become best friends?!

I used to do it with some success. I did notice that I lost more on a monthly basis when I took a day off and just drank water or a healthy juice. Now that I'm exercising 5-6 times a week I don't take days off. My body demands the nutrition for recovery too much. I tried to take a day off to fast on a rest day and I really…

I guess we could go... lift together sometime? Haha, that's about it.

I love how the difference shows in your face. Congratulations on all your success.

Best of luck. What are your fitness goals?

I openly admit part of the reason I'm trying to lose weight is because I want to stop hearing about it. Probably not the best but it happens. Every time I go to some family even it seems like 1 person has to make a comment. They seem to forget I gained the weight because I physically couldn't lift more than 4lbs for almost…

Man, if I could go back and tell 18 year old me to get that little back pain checked out I would. 6 screws in my back and an 8 inch scar later and I'm fighting to get my strength and fitness back. We all have our struggles in life but I think persistence and dedication are the key. There are many people here who are very,…

I don't want to alarm you... but I think you may be a dog... But seriously, congratulations on taking the first steps!

The name show stopper is fitting, haha.

My wife and I just passed our 1 year anniversary. The first year is a lot of fun. All 3 days of the second year have been just as great! And she's actually helpful with healthy meals and regular encouragement. Best luck with your goals!

I am ashamed to say this took a moment. "huh?....oh....OH"

Or that thread I saw you post in lilcassers. That girl who claims she's just going to breath, absorb sunlight, and drink water to survive? The scary part is sometimes I'm not sure that people like that are kidding. They'll take any quick fad diet over science.

The TL;DR of this is: If you don't have a gluten intolerance, it's fine for you. "Gluten Free" is just the latest garbage hype being thrown around.

I have no expertise on Keto so I will let others speak to that. One of your mistakes is that you are looking for results after only ONE WEEK. Give it time! Any new nutrition plan or exercise routine will take time to show results. Most people post their results after months or even years of hard work and dedication. I'm…

Just seconding the advice. Don't go too far under or your body won't get the fuel it needs. Eat back the exercise calories for sure so your body has the energy to keep up with any exercise you are doing. Best of luck!

You mean I can ignore all those "Use this ONE secret to lose 400lbs in 7 seconds discovered by a MOM is Utah! Fitness experts HATE her!!!! CLICK HERE TO LEARN THE TRICK TO FLAT ABS AND SUPERMAN'S POWERS"?

I had back surgery! A bunch of tissue removed, 6 screws put in, and a bunch of other hardware. But the doctor said I'm lucky that I wasn't paralyzed so I'm grateful. Fellow wounded people feel free to add me. I feel the pain of having to be extra careful when doing things like exercise.

Lift all the weights you want! Women with muscles are very, very sexy. And unless you take some sort of illegal steroids or hormones you won't end up looking like a man. The best way to look lean and feminine IS to build up some muscle. A hard-body is much sexier than those cardiobunnies who spend all year on the…

In b4 women are making me sandwiches. /sarcasm See? Aren't gender stereotypes fun?

I have a nut problem, haha. I don't mind the protein but I have to watch the fat. I find myself grabbing a small handful... then another... then another... I have to find a small bowl or I will eat whole containers without looking.

Well that's fine. Your "advice" of eating healthy foods to fit a lot into 1200 is great if it works for you. I'm just not sure why they freaked out on him for offering his 2 cents. On a health forum. About weight loss. His attitude was clearly just trying to be helpful.

People are giving polite advice. I don't think "troll" means what you think it means. And it's a weight loss forum, why in the world would you be shocked by people giving their advice and opinion?

I'm with Josh on this one, 1,200 calories is too low for anyone. Especially if you live any kind of active life or plan on doing exercise. The simple science is your body needs proper nutrition to function. You could easily bump that up to 1400-1500 as long as you were eating healthy. He's not saying add a slice of pizza…
