Keep doing what's right for you. I suspect your friend is exhibiting passive aggressive behavior. I have a food (sugar) pusher in my life. She's extremely passive aggressive. If you're running, you probably need a few carbs, just not enriched white flour or other carbs that turn to fat. Try Quinoa. It's healthy carbs, with vitamins and fiber.
