Great, great ideas! Unforeseen circumstances usually gets me. I plan to eat at home, but family and in-laws drag me along and end up eating a meal out I had not planned. I really hate not having my own car right now. It sure sucks to have to go everywhere the rest of the group decide to go every time.

1. No sodas. Period. 2. No fast food. 3. No junk food (chips, crackers, cookies, etc) 4. Stay away from sugars (I do take one spoon of raw honey for therapy) 5. No alcohol (haven't had it since diagnosis anyhow) 6. Plenty of water 7. Stop eating or drinking any calories at 7:30 PM

Hi my name is Jill. I am from Abilene, Texas. My highest weight was 265. I got down last year to 202 at one point and then fell from grace. I was diagnosed last year with breast cancer. Went through chemo (chock full of steroids thank you) and then radiation. I am finally healing up well enough to get a regular exercise…

Very good idea. I need this. I need some kind of order and routines and no more chaos!

Look again sweetheart... because you are BEAUTIFUL! Look at the things you love most about yourself. Your eyes, your hair, your smile, your best features... sometimes I look at my feet because my toenails got painted (finally). Find something you love about you and smile at it. Give yourself a smile. Love yourself. You are…

It helps sometimes to write down what they said on a piece of paper, and then throw it into a fireplace, or run the words through a paper shredder, or just tear them up into little pieces. You are not defined by what he said, but it feels like it. He found the right buttons to push that hurt the most and that's what he…

It will be a very long road to travel down together if he is not on board with being healthy. I can tell you this from 25 years of my own marriage. If he is into unhealthy habits and does not think working out or staying fit is needed, it will haunt you later. I am making changes in my own life to be healthier and have…

Nope. Can't afford it. I'd have to find another site and it would really, really suck. =(

Wow... that's a really steep climb!

LOL! I'm just happy to be there! The others I see who are more advanced really amaze me. The others who aren't yet to that level, like me, make me glad to see the effort and change happening in ourselves. Heck, I'm just glad to not be on the couch anymore. =)

My last driver's license pic was so horrible... it began the whole decision to change. Then I went to a concert and saw a man my same age (favorite musician) who could sing while dancing and running around the stage... so why couldn't I do that? Why was I old and fat sitting in a chair and he was still fit and running like…

My grandmother bought my sister a brand new set of nice clothes to wear after she graduated high school. She was pretty, thin and was looking forward to college. I was a size ten, and thought I was HUGE. So when I graduated, she gave me cash, which I was thankful for, but then a nice little, "I'd get clothes for you like I…

There's a saying I've heard about pickles and weight, "a pound a pickle" which means for every pickle you eat, the salt will cause you to retain one pound of fluids. Not sure how true this is, but I know every time I eat a pickle it does cause my sodium levels to soar. Not that I'm going to give up pickles altogether. I…

OMG yes. All the time. I go to work, and on his days off of school, he goes to SAMs and buys a ton of snacks... Or wants to eat out at the worst possible places... Or brings me in a bar of ice cream for a treat... I know he loves me, I really do, but golly gee.... It's like he doesn't understand, or doesn't want me to…

I'd like some pink hand weights that my two sons won't steal... 'cause if they're pink, they won't touch them. =)

I can't wait to try it! I absolutely love soups and stews. My bunch gets tired of them after a while, but I could live on soup. Glad to know about the stock cubes too. I'll go back to cooking my own stock again. It may take longer, but it seems to be a lot healthier than the cubes I've been using in a hurry.

Thank you to everyone! I am enlightened today.
