In reality, the supplements you take depend on what you need. A multivitamin, possibly a B complex and maybe Omega 3s are the basics and are all that you need unless you have other issues. I take an iron supplement as well because I'm anemic. But most people won't need that.

BMR is what you should consume in a day just to keep your body functioning if you weren't even getting out of bed. You need to consume more than that, but less than your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) in order to create that deficit for weight loss.

I have a laptop because I DO need the portability of it. I'm a full time student and I often have to find a quiet room to hide out in to do homework. I don't have room in my bedroom to keep a desktop computer, but I can sit on my bed with books all around me and my laptop in front of me.

I get that completely. I'd only been married for a few months when my husband had to leave for Iraq (as a Marine). My brother-in-law is doing contract work in Afghanistan right now, as well. It's really tough to have them go away for so long.
