Sorry for the delayed response. When I'm holding a squat, or like a sit position, my knees start shaking. They don't hurt then really. Do I workout fasted? Not really. I usually have eaten one or two meals and had a good bit of water hours before exercising. I need to eat before exercising or I don't have the energy to do…

I weigh myself in the morning or at the gym before a workout because my gym scale is so accurate. Honestly if you are consistent in your meal times and what you consume, I've found that weighing in at the same time each day, regardless of what time of day, will give an idea of whether you're losing or gaining.

If you want cheap, thrift stores are often amazing, even better if you have some sewing skills and can repair/alter things to a smaller size. That's even where I get a lot of my cycling/running gear from- I've bought some Nike shorts from a thrift shop this week a size too small because LBH, the ones I'm wearing are going…

Add me. I'm a student, too. 30, female, 185, 5'8". :) Maybe we can encourage each other. The weight that my counter says I lost was lost by adding some activity at the gym a few times a week and mostly replacing sodas with water, water with water enhancers (MIO), and diet green tea from publix. I also got a Nutribullet and…

Thanks for all the info and encouragement! I found all the info for their group rides on their website, and they do accommodate slower/newer riders. I just have to get a good road bike. I'm looking at the Trek 1.1C as my intro bike, or the Lexa. I won't know until I check them out more in person, though. I'm truly excited!

I was on 1200, now I'm a little above that since my exercise routine is so vigorous that I need the extra energy. I'm trying to stay at 1200 for days that I don't exercise, and will be incorporating a few fasting days as well. Please add me. I try to comment and be a motivational friend. :) Edit: I'm tall. :0) I'm 5'8" and…

I think the big thing here for you to note is that when you are off the bread, you are not getting the results you like, but when you include some bread in your diet, you are getting those results. You mentioned several times that energy was a factor. If bread is giving you the energy you need to workout and you're making…

I love it all. Can't say why. Maybe because I have no gear, maybe because I have a tacky heart. I'd wear those tights, and I would feel fabulous. I'd wear any of that. =p

Thanks! I haven't had a physical recently. I've been exercising seriously since the beginning of the year, with a few small breaks. I've lost about 25 lbs. I have high stamina when it comes to cardio- I can stay on the elliptical or bike forever, so I've been doing 12 mile trails on my bike, no problem. I think my fitness…

I'll chime in just to say that when my tummy gets growly and it's not food time, I still put a little something in there, even if it's just a nibble of something healthy. More often than not it will be raw veggies and water. I really like sliced cucumbers (they're like 5 calories per cup) and a bit of tomato (also low…

College student here! I put on 20-ish pounds when I started. :( For me it was because I became so much busier and the cafeteria in student center (which is attached to the library and other areas that I frequent) always had the place smelling like fries, pizza, and other delicious but awfully unhealthy things to eat. And I…

Going from hating my own body so much that I couldn't stand to look in the mirror to loving my body and holding things like food to a higher standard. Almost everything I do now is for the sake of my health and my body, and though I don't see big visible changes in my shape (yet!), I feel the difference in my stamina,…

Lucky. What is this, the bikini body lottery or something? That's so rude. It's okay, though. They'll never have the body if they think it'll just magically happen for them. You gotta work for it!

This. I have to ignore it. I have had several people (ALL of them extremely unhealthy and obese) knock at my fitness routine and eating habits. The dumbest part is when they underrate your effort by saying you have such good metabolism or whatever that it's just so easy for you to whip your body back into shape within a…

I use Pure Protein bars, they're like 20g of protein each and are only like $1 each at Kroger. I eat a few of them each day snacking, and honestly I haven't upped my calorie intake any for it, I just am less hungry at meal times so I eat less then. It all works out in the end for me. I also use protein scoops, but mine…

I weigh weekly, but every body is different, and will lose weight/gain muscle and change in different ways. I think your approach is good, since you aren't seeing big numbers weekly, weighing monthly shows a more substantial number that may be more encouraging. The waiting really got to me at first, too, but then working…

Everyone needs a break every now and then. Logging everything and keeping the numbers low is very structured and can be boring if not depressing when you realize that to keep that up 24/7 you can't have that slice of cheesecake really ever. But that's no fun, and really that's not living, and if you're not LIVING then…

I always try to eat small within a few hours of (before) a workout (HIIT generally). A protein bar and/or greek yogurt is good. This keeps me from feeling sluggish and hungry during me workout. I definitely don't want to eat a BIG meal within a few hours before working out, because that will also slow me down, make me feel…

I have a nutribullet! It was my big new year's purchase and I honestly couldn't be happier with it. I follow the standard for the recipes; a handfull of leafy greens (baby spinach for me) followed by a random mix of fruit like apples, bananas, peaches, etc, then top it off with berries and fill to the line with water.…

http://www.cosplay.com/member/286142/costumes/ My meager account. Big things coming, though, since my Ursula costume proved to me that I can do big things.

Oh, add me! Casual gamer, major cosplay nerd here. Also into j-fashion. :) I agree with the above, it def helps to have socialization on here for me! :) I'm busy with school, but my goal is similar to yours, I need to drop 40+ by September for Dragon*Con.

I understand this feeling all too well. My first attempt at eating better and getting into shape failed I think because I tried very hard to instantly change everything about my diet. I dropped soda, fast food, milkshakes, candy, chocolate, fried foods... What I learned on this second round that seems to be working much…

Brilliant and inspirational! Keep it up!

Whopper JR is definitely on my list since I live less than a mile from one! <3

Chocolate Ganache Supreme Salmon Nigiri Sausage and Peppers Rustica Strawberry ice cream, strawberries and graham crackers in waffle bowl (also great with cheesecake ice cream)

I've had mine for about a month now. I try to get in my shakes on each weekday that I go to school. I'm fruit fanatic... Baby Spinach Strawberries Peaches Banana Avacado Blueberries Blackberries Raspberries Apples Pomagranate* Kiwi* Those are the fruits I regularly have on hand to toss in there. The two with the asterix…
