I've been trying to figure this out too, I think the only way to get a true # is to invest in a heart rate monitor. When I go to a kettlebell class I sweat like crazy, but when I do it at home from dvd not so much.

I use whey protein isolate in my smoothies---frozen berries, banana, 1/2c plain nonfat yogurt and 1 scoop protein powder. deeelish

Wow, I am in the same boat as you...with the same name! I am so frustrated with myself. my worse enemy is the weekend, I do great during the week but come frid/sat/sun it's like I lose control with everything from eating to exercising. We can do this, we know what needs to be done... Pam

If you have access to a swimming pool you can do some water walking or resistance exercises.

dehydration....make sure you drinking enough before during and after. This is with any type of physical activity.

I tried yoga for the first time a few weeks ago and love it, particular yoga studio I go to is Hot Yoga Studio, the room has humidifiers all around the room and the temp in the room is high 90's-low 100's, I am drenched when the class is done but feels so awesome. Definitely try and attend a few classes before using dvd's…

i agree with previous poster...go to a bike specialty shop, they will fit you with an appropriate bike. I have a hybrid by Giant. I love riding, trying to do it more. Have fun!

you can always keep your food in a small cooler with some icepacks and leave in your car. Do you have access to a microwave on campus? you can bring yogurt, fruit, sandwich, pita with hummus, carrots..the list goes on. prepare your meal the night before keep in fridge and all you have to do is place in cooler...then there…
