Nestle fat free hot chocolate packet (20 calories) + Pb2 (45 calories) + greek yogurt = delicious chocolate peanut butter pudding. I do this, plus add a little stevia, and it's just about the most heavenly thing there is. If you don't like peanut butter, you could just use the hot chocolate mix. It's seriously delicious.

Nope, where you went wrong was assuming that if a person has a problem with the way they look or how much they weigh, that means they aren't happy inside. Let's not generalize. For a lot of people, they can be very happy "inside" but hate the way they look on the outside. And for those people, weight loss really is a kind…

Sorry, but for a lot of people, losing weight makes them VERY happy. Beauty is a subjective perception. I used to be miserable and hated the way I looked, and now I'm pleased as punch. My life has improved 100 times over. That didn't come from me learning to "love myself inside," it changed because I lost 50 lbs and got…

It is absolutely possible to stall on 1200. This is exactly where I'm at right now. I've been on 1200 net calories for over a month, and haven't lost a pound, even though I still have a good amount to lose. I've noticed that if I want to lose, I have to eat below 1000, or forgo eating back my exercise calories. My mom has…

To clarify, I didn't mean that you won't lose weight if you go into starvation mode. As others have said, if you eat below your BMR, you're going to lose weight, period. Starvation mode just crashes your metabolism, which is detrimental for when you want to start maintaining.
-
The best advice that you can be given right now is not to let something imaginary (i.e. god) dictate something as important as your physical well-being. YOU are real, your health is real. This should come first. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of fasting during the day, the answer is not to figure out a more healthy…

Starvation mode is your body's response to prolonged periods of low calorie intake. Basically, you go from burning fat (which is good), to burning lean muscle tissue for energy (bad). Your metabolism also crashes, and when you start eating again, you pack the weight back on. No fun!
-
As long as you are still eating enough calories to prevent yourself from going into starvation mode, you should be fine. Either way, you're going to lose weight. A lot of people have to eat below their BMR to lose even half a pound a week. For example, my TDEE is about 1650, and my BMR is around 1400. So even on a 1200…

By far the most *facepalm* article I've read on MFP.... Why is this flagged?

If you shop at Trader Joe's, get their Champagne Pear Vinaigrette. You will never want another salad dressing again, ever. It's super low in calories too! Only 45 calories for 2 tablespoons :)

Syntha-6 Vanilla Ice Cream flavor is heaven in a jar. Mix it with anything and it's like eating cake batter.

For those saying that they don't see what's wrong with regular peanut butter, while it may be a "source of healthy fats", at 200 calories a serving, it's not something you can indulge in a lot if you are on a calorie restrictive diet. For people like me who are completely obsessed with peanut butter and like to put it…

Yep this is me right now. I've finally hit that point. After being fat for a good portion of my life, I'm now skinnyfat, and getting frustrated when i see that I'm continuing to lose weight, but my body composition isn't changing (I'm still flabby!!). I'm definitely going to up the strength training and see where it takes…

So you know how frozen meals always are drenched in extra sauce? (This is likely where all your sodium is). What I do is I take steamed veggies and add them to my lean cuisine/healthy choice/smart ones meals. For an extra 30 calories I double the size of the meal. My favorites to add are asparagus, green beans, and…

PB2. Get some.

Donuts, macaroni and cheese, and peanut butter. And preferably some kind of concoction of all three.

My high protein snacks like greek yogurt and string cheese.

It's NOT too low for a lot of people. It depends on your TDEE. For example, my TDEE is around 1650 (unless I'm doing strenuous exercise). This is what I eat to maintain my weight. If I want to lose weight, I eat around 1200 a day, and that will not even give me a pound a week. I agree that women who have a TDEE of 2500 and…

This ALWAYS happens to me when I start working out after not having done it for awhile. I get super fat after I exercise and hold on to water weight like crazy, especially after strength training. Basically, it's your muscles retaining water. I'm 5'4" 135 and trying to lose the last 10-15 lbs. I'd go back and rework your…
