  • Love it. I started off with **really light** weights last July (squatting 5 lbs, LOL! 2.5lbs on each side!), but have significantly upped it and am definitely noticing a difference, especially in my strength.
  • Whole Gains is what I drink. Not sure if it's the best though!
  • Sometimes, especially when I go in the morning. I sweat when I sleep and I do NOT want to be the funky sweaty person working out. We all know what that smells like: Not good...
  • I've heard squats with a decent amt. of weight not only burn calories while you're doing the exercise, but also burn the most after you STOP doing it... the gift that keeps on giving =) or taking if you will.
  • Hahaha! That's funny! I can imagine, because my workout gear is so comfy but... for me its the opposite. On a day like today, I wore my work out gear to work (sort of as a reminder that after work the day is not done, I change into scrubs there...) and now I have them on in preparation to go at 7:00 tn. It kind of tells…
  • Haha, I just opened the document. I drink coffee at least 3x a week and tea the other days with milk and Splenda. We'll see how many points I end up with at the end of this!!!
  • Success is the best revenge. Keep your mouth shut and reach your goals, let your actions speak for themselves... once you get to your goal, look at her and
  • Definitely the 50 shades trilogy. It'll only take you 4 days to read all 3 (if you're like me)! Quick easy and umm.... steamy read:blushing:

  • I'm down. I have a trip coming up in August that's really important to me (ie. lots of pictures to be taken) So I'm going hard t in June (& July!)!!!
  • Don't look at it as a bad thing. Face the facts: You've been losing the weight you've been wanting to lose for a while You're excited about your future You're starting to think differently about yourself (which feels GREAT), like "Wow, I can actually do this!" As long as it's not preventing you from living your everyday…
  • agree 100% with famousa88 yep! i mean, he/she is not wrong if it's true.
  • Probably a few Burger King Meals. I can remember having a bad day at work and going to BK for 2 whopper meals: one with cheese (yes with fries oh, and of course diet coke! can't have too many calories!), a Whopper Junior and a pie and their strawberry shake- LARGE)
  • I always eat after I work out. Then again I work out usually before dinner time and come home @ ~6:30/7PM Also, I was told it was very important, if trying to build muscle, to eat something with protein after lifting so as not to inadvertently break down the muscle you already have in an attempt to fuel your body. So I…
  • xarla, I wouldn't worry too much about it personally. I say stick with it and keep on going! I it bothers you that much, increase your calories a bit (not something I would do).
  • Honestly, don't sweat it. You sound like me: If I fall off, I'm likely to fall all the way off. My semester ended this past week and I "celebrated" with food. TONS of food. The next day I was back on track as usual and this week I lost 2 pounds. Keep on truckin!
  • Anything fried: chicken, plantains, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, zucchini; OR anything creamy: lobster bisque, cream soups in general.
  • Hey Tokyo, Are you truly being honest with yourself about the food? You may have lost some weight but eating poorly would have cancelled it all out. Only you know the truth to that. If you are, well keep doing what you're doing. It's simple, calories in < calories out, that equation equals weight loss. (well it's not…
  • Yeah, I don't think the "young mother" comment was meant to be condescending at all. If anything informative. Don't think she was trying to attack you personally... Back to the topic: I was doing Jenny Craig and everything was preportioned so I didn't worry about my 1200 calories a day and was eating 5 times a day. Now…
  • 252.2 July of 2011, I was in my 20s and still am. I am currently 184.4 and want to lose another ~30lbs
  • Yeah I agree. I think you are a bit on the low side. You're eating 1500 calories a day and then you burn 600, so in a day you have 900 total. I'd aim for 1500 period so if you burn 600 a day, maybe you should try for 2100.
  • I was at work and we all ordered Chinese food. It was time to eat and a few of us were sitting down. One of my co-workers said "Jane (a different co-worker), why are you eating like that (she was hungry and eating quickly), even Erihppas (me) is eating nicely.' Like because I'm big, I must stuff my face all the time...
  • Hey, I don't know if you're part of a gym but Body Pump is what I do. It's not as easy a fitness class as you might think! You really can determine your level of intensity and the good thing is that you're in a class and are being told what to do and for how long. you can go to the lesmills site and do a search for gyms in…
  • Store bought chicken sausages (140 calories), green peppers, mushrooms and onions (when steamed reduce to a nice sauce) serve over 2oz (for you) of whole grain pasta (200 calories). Or you can add Marinara sauce which is only 70 cal. You can eat with brown rice too! YUM!
  • Thanks!
  • Everyone I know that has had the surgery look like they unfortunately haven't had anything done. They are all flabby and all say that after they've lost their weight, they started slowly but surely gaining it all back. I do believe the surgery can help you lose the weight, but after a certain point, you have to have the…
  • Ok, let me get this right: My goal is to eat 1200 calories a day. I work out pretty consistently and on certain days burn up to 500 calories during a fitness class. This would mean that at the end of the day, with my eating only my 1200 calories, I'd have only used 700 calories, so I'd need to eat 500 more calories to stay…
