  • I have a fitbit and use a HRM. As some of the others mentioned, you want to make sure your settings are the same on both sites. I am lightly active on both sites and they give me roughly about the same amount of calories per day (there is about 100-150 cal difference). Nutrition is also important and it is probably time to…
  • We still in this !!!!!
  • All of the above but I tend be lazy and usually bake mine. Grilled salmon is the best however. No skin please.
  • I have a desk job and have been successful at losing weight because I have made it a top priority. I park further than most which helps to get extra steps in during the day. I will eat my lunch while I work and use my lunch break to walk around. I will also use one of my breaks (if necessary) to walk as well. My work also…
  • Girlfriend, I know what you are going through. I used to have this same issue. I would be fine, doing real good. Then TOM comes and I am off the game for weeks, weeks!! One month TOM had the air smelling like cookies.. What has helped is (1) telling TOM to shut the #$%^ up! I mean literally when the thought of eating a bag…
  • There are a ton of "turkey burn" classes that are happening in my area this week. I have gone to a class every day this week, including thanksgiving day. No time to get into slump because I am pushing myself hard this week to stay focused and reach my goals.
  • I am never within the sugar allowance goal set by MFP. MFP gives me 30 and I consume anywhere from 50-75 grams a day. Alot of it is natural sugar from fruits and vegetables so I try not stress about it too much unless I am consuming cakes, cookies and stuff like that.
  • I cut out alot of drinking and have found that as time goes on, I have less desire for it. If I do drink, most of the time it is beer or wine, no more than 2 glasses or bottles. I don't indulge in hard liquor too often, it tends to bring out my self-indulgent side (ie, who cares how many cals are in that & let's eat some…
  • I could do that though! I would kill it.
  • Speechless ... I mean DAYUMMMMMMMM
  • I have gone through this and continue to go through this. My partner and I are at different stages in this journey. So I have learned to work around these things. (1) I anticipate when we will go out to eat and plan for it within my calories. That means I have to either burn more calories or really pay attention to what I…
  • Nice work!! What an inspiration to myself. You did that.
  • I am more interested to know what the disagreement was about that led to this post. But anyway, I have an 18 month old and a 6 year old. Sometimes I have left them alone to go take the dog out but I don't go far and quickly return to the house. If I cannot find a babysitter or my husband cannot watch them, I will…
  • First, I looked at your diary and have concluded that either you are (1) starving yourself or (2) not logging everything you eat. If you are not eating enough calories your body WILL hold on to your fat. Well known fact. Eat some kind of breakfast, this gets your metabolism going and you are less likely to indulge in foods…
  • People think I am crazy when I say this but this is part of what I call a culture of obesity. Most grocery stores I have been into have a similar set-up in which you have to walk through all the "junk" before you reach the healthy stuff. Why is this? Why not switch it around and have the junk in the back? It can be very…
  • Muffins! Muffins! Muffins are !@@#$%^&*
