  • Very inspiring story!!! I loved it! Great motivation!!
  • THANK you very much! I am sticking with it. Mainly because I have given up too soon on everything else to see if it works. Plus I feel so much better energy wise eating at this amount of calories. Its only been three weeks, so I know its not enough time yet for my body to adjust. I am sticking with it, and thank you to…
  • Thanks Leanne0627! I have been reading more success stories and more info just reassuring myself that this is the way I want to go. I have to stick with it.
  • THank you! I will read up in those success stories. I find that watching youtube videos helps as well. I will just have to be patient.
  • Start now! Weight lifting will help the process of losing weight! Just pick up dumb bells if you don't have a gym membership.
  • I averaged two weeks of TDEE from fitbit website and I got 2,464. At least 4 days a week I do strength training so I know I dont get as mch credit because I am not really taking steps (ex. squats, machines, etc). Are you saying that I should set MFP on 'sedentary' because then I will get a lot of calories burned for the…
  • I am kind of new to this too... But I can say that I feel more energized eating more than I used to. I have yet to gone on the scale because I know it will go up in the beginning. I do roughly the same type of workouts you do (gotta love those box jumps on leg day  ) so I definitely think you under-estimated eating…
  • YES YES YES!!!! I started my journey with approximately 70-80 pounds to lose. I lost 15 pounds right off the bat following Weight Watchers. I bought myself a personal trainer who taught me how to work out. We did a WHOLE MESS OF WEIGHT LIFTING. I lost another 35 pounds within that 4-6 months I trained. Best decision you…
  • I would like to hope I wasnt eating over TDEE, but I cant be certain. My problem is I am over thinking what my TDEE is. I dont want to trust that I can actually eat that much. It is a scary feeling.
  • Do you eat carbs after? If not, maybe you need to give your body some energy after it has been depleted with the workout. I am not familar with SL5x5, so I cant chime in on personal experience.
  • Awesome to hear!!! How long did it take for you to notice your body changing while eating with those numbers? And were you perfect every single time? My problem is weekends. Im going on week #2 of eating my macros. I feel better, but still looking for the changes.
  • I feel your fears that you have from eating more to lose weight. I am new too, but after doing this for about 2 weeks, I absolutely don't feel tired or low energy. The difference that I did with EM2WL is I increased my calories all at once. Probably not recommended, but I had to have a heart to heart talk with myself (and…
  • Right now I am eating 140 grams of protein 140 grams Carbs, 78 grams Fat. I was told to eat 1 gram per pound of "goal body weight" and to keep in mind your lean body mass. What are your thoughts?
  • YES! It is crazy how everyone's body is different. The important thing is to find what your body needs and STICK WITH IT! That is my biggest issue. If I don't see results right away, I am wanting to quit (I'm talking about a week). So if carbs works better for you, stick with it for about a month and see what changes you…
  • I feel your pain being scared that eating too many carbs will make you gain weight. I am the same way. I have always tried to keep it as low carb as I can. I have read many things that state that going "low carb" for a long period of time will never pay off in the long run. Our body needs the energy. I was at 1200-1400…
  • I feel that the IIFYM calculator sets your carbs way too high, even on a cut. I am trying to lose weight, strength train 4 times a week, cardio 1 day a week, and eat 1828 calories a day. I calculated my macros based on an e-book and I came up with 140C/140P/78F. I am 5'2 and 178 pounds.
  • You can always adjust CARBS and FAT. I prefer FATS over CARBS so I adjust. I am 5'2 178lbs and my macros are 140P/140C/78F and that is on a 15% cut. I am eating 1828 calories a day. This is new for me, so I am hoping to see body changes. I just got to stay off the scale.
  • Yea, maybe another color might help it to look more feminine. Ill have to test it out.
  • Hey! I have just been doing this type of eating for about a week. I cut down (but not completely) the tortillas that I used to eat. I have joined a few groups like Paleo to get more information about this HIGH FAT eating and I have found it to be beneficial for me. This is of course energy wise and not so much scale wise.…
  • Good to hear! I am for sure not bulking. I am trying to lose weight. I am still a little skeptical on it considering I only see women who, to me, don't look fat, but just want to transform their definition. But I have been told by several people to stick with it and throw the damn scale away. I'm on day 2.... ugh!
  • Have you tried maybe increasing your fat intake? Good fats of course. I did that last week and have since bumped it up to 40%. I have to tell you, I feel a lot more energized with higher fat than with carbs. I ate a lot of almonds, avocado, salmon, eggs (those are what I mostly stuck to for a week) but there are plenty of…
  • I am in! I am still new at this PALEO eating, but I definitely going to check out the "WHole30" plan to see what that is about. I am already admitting that I will slip up (ie, soda drinker right here), but I will do my best!
  • I feel that is why I have plateaued as well. I was eating at such a low calorie intake that my body is purposely hanging onto fat. I too have read that increasing calories slowly to get your metabolism up... then try to cut back again. I really enjoy being able to eat more fat. I prefer that over carbs. However, when you…
  • OH yes! Push ups using the TRX (the more upright you are, the easier. The more close to the ground, the harder. Rows, tricep extension, one legged squats.. oh my gosh there are so many. Email me, and i can scan you the workouts with pictures. Nayners21@yahoo.com
  • I was introduced to TRX about 3 months ago. This was after doing straight weight lifting with barbells and dumbbells. Man, if you think you can lift heavy weight, wait until you try TRX. After developing a circuit using only the TRX, it became more comfortable. TRX will transform your body!!!! I highly recommend it.
  • Thanks again for the information. I will just have to trust the process.
  • Heybales- Thank you for the pointers. Just to understand better -1) If my actual TDEE is 1400 (makes sense since I am maintaining weight) what would be a safe amount to eat daily? 1600? It is extremely hard for me to eat anything under 1200 and I do not want to do that. That is for sure. I did forget to mention my body fat…
  • I would love to get one, but they are HUGE! Doesn't look so good on women in my opinion.
  • Leanne0627- Now that we are friends, we will keep each other up to date. I actually went full force and started eating the full amount of calories instead of increasing slowly. Oh well. My biggest hurdles will be on the weekends. I do great Monday through Friday afternoon, then all of a sudden, Friday night rolls around…
  • WOW! This IS the most helpful group I have been in ever! Thank you guys for the quick and very informative tips. I have a personal blog where I am writing in to keep me accountable. One of the first things I have noticed (and I have only been doing this for about 4 days), is that I am feeling really good when I first wake…
