My exercise schedule is the same for summer vs winter but I know I'm way more active in the summer. After dinner in the summer I'd often take my kids for walks. Now? We sit around watching tv or doing homework or reading books. Maybe I clean the house, that's the most active I get! I've found that I have to eat about 1700…

I'm 5'2.5" and my maintenance range is between 122-127. I honestly don't notice a big difference when I'm at the top of that range versus the bottom. My pants fit the same. Maybe less bloat in my stomach but not something anyone else would notice. I did see a big difference going from the upper 130s to the mid 120s.

I lost weight while breastfeeding (90 lbs total, started losing when he was 1 month old and had met my goal by the time he was just over 1 year old). When he was 10 months old, I was losing (quickly and easily) eating 1800-2000 a day. And I'm super short! That amount was with exercise. So a lot will depend on your activity…

Hey, I'm 5'2.5" too!! That extra half inch totally counts!!! I started at 212 and now I'm maintaining between 122-127 (that's the maintenance range I gave myself). I was always overweight and "curvy" as well. Now, people call me "tiny" which is so bizarre! I'm also in awesome shape, thanks to lifting! Sometimes maintenance…

If I counted every time I started trying to lose weight, lost a few pounds, and then gained it back, I wouldn't even be able to count that high. I barely even count those attempts though. I had only had one significant weight loss attempt before. I lost 50 lbs in college, but I did it in an unhealthy way... just exercising…

Initially I was motivated by extra calories if I'm being honest. I love to eat so if I get to eat more by exercising, I'm on board. Now that I've been in maintenance for a while I get motivated by seeing results. I can tell a difference in my body after the past several months of maintenance and lifting. I love seeing…

My face isn't fat but definitely round! I'm at a healthy weight. It's just how my head is shaped, it doesn't bother me.

I developed a taste for salad somewhere along the way and eat them 4-5 times a week. Because I love them. But I lost 90 lbs and rarely ate salad during that time so I don't see why it's necessary if you don't like them.

Fitness blender is amazing!!! Free on YouTube or their website and a huge amount of videos to choose from. You could do something different every day and not repeat a workout for a long time. They have some awesome 5 day challenges too if you wanted something structured. They have been my main workouts for like 3 years now…

I never even look at that number. Sometimes I see the little warning when I log something high in sodium so I'm sure I go over all the time. Still lost 90 lbs.

Just to quickly share my experience, I didn't exercise for about 3-4 weeks because first I was sick, then on vacation for 2 weeks, then came home and was sick again. I did maintain my weight during those weeks (I'm in maintenance) and I was surprised about that because my eating wasn't great. Well I started back up with…

I put plain Greek yogurt in mine in place of butter or sour cream!

Absolutely, I have 4 kids lol. Sometimes I eat the food I am offered... there's never a time when eating a cheez-it that my toddler offered me is going to ruin my deficit for the day. But sometimes I say "no thanks, I'm not hungry right now". I feel like that's good modeling to know that it's ok to say no and to feel full.

Nothing magical! Counted my calories, weighed food, logged on mfp, started with some very mild exercise and eventually moved into more intense exercise. As others have said, I moved more and ate less! :) I never gave up the foods I enjoyed, but I did learn to eat them in moderation and to fit them into my day. I stopped…

Baby steps. Don't make 8 million changes all at once. Start with calorie counting and once you get comfortable there add in some walking, then start adding in some moderate exercise if you want, etc. I lost 90 lbs and I think if I had changed my entire lifestyle all at once I would've gotten burnt out. It's so important…

Agree with previous comments. I lost weight easily without paying attention to macros. But once I started paying attention to macros I felt better and more full overall. I think macros are especially important when breastfeeding. I was having lots of weird symptoms while breastfeeding and losing weight and after doing…

This is 100% me!!! I half-heartedly make plans of getting below 120, but once I get down to the 122-123 range I'm just like uhhhh good enough, lol. And then I maintain around 125. I am confident that I could lose another 10 lbs if I really wanted to, but I just don't want it enough.

Chobani simply 100 greek yogurt Lettuce (I eat salads almost every day) M&Ms or chocolate chip cookies, depending on my mood that week

It's funny because when I weighed 212 lbs, I didn't think I looked that fat. Even when I saw pictures of myself, I'd be like ehh I'm overweight but it's not so bad. Now I weigh 125 lbs and I feel more fat than I did before and I notice every fat roll, lol. Except when I see pictures and then I do think I look thin. I agree…

Personally, I wouldn't worry about going over calories a bit. Just get back to tracking as usual tomorrow and you probably won't even notice a difference on the scale.
-
When I first started losing weight, my entire purpose of exercising was so I could have extra calories so you better believe I ate those calories back! Usually half of what I estimated. Somewhere along the way I became more motivated to work out for fitness, not just extra calories. I lost 90 lbs and I've been in…

Every so often I have an entire weekend Iike that. I did the same thing while losing. I honestly don't think my mental health could stand just logging everything and staying within my calorie range every day. I figure it's only a problem if I can't get back on track afterwards or do it so often that I start gaining back…

I'm 5'2.5" and 123 lbs. Trying to get to 120 but started at 212. I'm losing on 1450 right now and hating every second of it lol. When I was heavier I was eating closer to 1800 calories a day and losing. For me, that few calories just isn't maintainable so I never could've lost all my weight eating that little.

When I first started losing a few years ago, I had recently moved to my home town. I kept running into people I used to know in high school and I was sick of feeling fat and frumpy. So that was a big starting off point for me. Like others said, I found more internal motivation along the way and I managed to lose 90 lbs and…

No not during. The day or two prior to my period starting I have intense cravings for cookies and my self control is a huge issue. Then my period shows up and I'm like ohhhh that explains a lot lol. I don't go over my calories though usually, I just struggle more to stay within range. During my period I feel pretty normal…

I've been in maintenance since last April after losing 90 lbs so it's been over 2 years now of logging. I do take logging breaks, like on vacation or over the weekend. Once I even took a 2 month logging break because I had some significant stress. I always end up returning to logging because my intuition just tells me to…

I don't usually skip meals only because I like to eat. I regularly eat a high number of calories at 9 pm and it never impacted my weight loss. I do skip breakfast on occasion, or just have coffee with lots of milk in place of breakfast, when I know I have a big lunch planned. But that's only when I'm in weight loss mode…

I save calories for snacking at night. I usually eat a bowl of popcorn for 100 calories and a cup full of m&ms for 200 calories. I have 4 young kids and night time is the only time I have to snack in peace. I refuse to give it up!
-
Coffee helps for me lol. But holy crap you're lucky to have a 2 year old who sleeps until 10!!! Mine is up before 6 most days!!!

Most people have a 5 lb range once they reach maintenance since weight fluctuates. You could get down to 108 and then let 113 be your high point. I'm 5'2.5" and my maintenance range was 122-127. I stuck with that for almost a year and now I'm losing a bit. I'd like my range to hover more around 120. 5 lbs can make a big…
