Lookin' good!

Feel free to add me. I just turned 38 recently and knowing my 40s were looming ahead has motivated me to get back in shape.

Be proud of yourself-you look fabulous! The flabby skin will tighten as you tone up and strength train. BTW, I love your sandals :).
-
You look fantastic!

It was quite a "chore" for me too when I first started drinking at least 8 glasses a day. I guess my body has gotten used to it, because I don't pee every 20-30 minutes liked I used to. But 4 of my glasses come from drinking hot green tea. And the other 4 come from just plain ol' bottled water. I always have a bottle or…

I want to turn men's heads once again...to be visible...and to look at a picture of myself and not be totally disgusted...and it's already starting to happen :).

Girl, be proud of the 140 miles you did accomplish! I once thought I might die doing an hour of spinning. lol. I can't imagine doing 140 miles, especially with the extra weight. That's an awesome accomplishment...don't let your friend or anyone else on this thread take that from you...and don't take it from yourself. Pat…

Someone may have already suggested this, having only read a few replies, but I would add more fruits and vegetables to your diet. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. And watch your sodium. A lot of those pre-packaged foods you're eating are very high in sodium and that leads to increased water retention/water weight.…

You look fabulous! Congrats!

I was like that too at first, but my bladder has adapted. lol. Chris from Extreme Makeover Weight Loss edition said a few weeks ago if you drink warm water it will make you feel full because it stays in the body longer. And that has worked for me. Drink cold water for hydration and warm water to help you feel full and pee…

You look awesome! Congrats!

I get plain, non-fat Greek yogurt and I eat it with ground flax seed and blueberries/strawberries/raspberries. I've only tried the Kroger brand and it's pretty bland by itself, but the flax seed to me makes it really delicious. This is what I have for my post work-out snack or late-night snack.

If your clothes are loose, then don't worry what the scale says. Everyone's weight fluctuates through the week, even during the day it can change. Weighing yourself every day can and will drive you crazy. And taking measurements are a good idea too, because you can lose inches and your weight not change.

This^^^^....If you mess up my groove and/or intensity it's a non-starter. Catch me after, you would get a better response.
-
Your birth weight...bahahaha. I'll have to use this whenever someone says something ignorant to me.
-
You look awesome. I say the best response is to keep doing what you're doing-losing weight and looking more fabulous by the day. If she attempts to be catty again, tell her how you feel...all with a smile on your face :).
-
Love it! And so do my toddler and teenager! The loaded turkey nachos are awesome...and the bangin shrimp...and the chicken Parmesan...all of it, just delicious and healthy!
-
Are you taking a multivitamin that has iron and calcium in it? If so, that could be your issue-too much iron and calcium leads to constipation. It messed me up for weeks, even after I stopped taking it.

I love that show too! Very inspiring and great workout and food tips. No negative comments, but just remember those people were under strict care of not only Chris, but a doctor, and a dietitian. They had eyes on them 24/7 because their weight loss journey was, well, extreme;). So again...be careful. Good luck!

Thanks for writing this! Nothing more maddening than someone asking "why are you depressed?"!

I eat 1-2tbsp of NATURAL peanut butter a day on whole wheat bread too. Peanut butter is supposed to be good for you in small amounts. It's a good source for omega 3s and the so called "good" fats and I believe it's labeled as a "super food"...I think the key is buying the natural stuff and making sure you measure it out.
-
When I do indulge in chips I count them and weigh them, since weighing is more accurate due to chips differing in size :).
-
For me personally, I would rather eat "real food" and take a multi-vitamin than spend money on shakes...that way I'm working on a life-style change rather than doing a "fad diet"...I have a brother and sister team that post about it ALL THE TIME on FB and it feels like a scam, a pyramid scheme, like someone else said...I…

Someone already mentioned skinnytaste.com, but I wanted to repeat it. Lots of great ideas for chicken and everything else you can imagine.

You look great! Congrats!

This is what I do. And it works. I weigh/measure everything. I took my food scale to my parents house on Father's Day and some of my family laughed at me for weighing EVERYTHING, even fruit, but keeping an accurate count of calories(for me) is essential to weight loss. Losing weight and eating healthy isn't…

Congrats! You look fabulous!

Wow! You look awesome-congrats!!

I'm 5'3 and I want to get back down to 110-115. Not set in stone...I will know I have arrived when I can see it and feel it :).

I read a long time ago the best time to weigh yourself is in the morning when you have an empty stomach. And to go to the bathroom before, and if you can have a bowel movement that would be even better for the most accurate weight. lol. And that's what I've done ever since, once a week. Oh, and do it naked. Hope that helps…
