A humorous and inspiring story. You look fabulous--congrats on your success!

I have my sodium goal set at 1500 a day, I think a 1000 less than what MFP sets it to and usually 5, 6 days out of the week I have no problem staying within that goal. But, whenever I eat turkey slices, shrimp, canned beans, or soup I'm always over. I would say reduce or eliminate processed, pre-packaged foods, buy reduced…

Excellent responses. Don't let other people's issues effect your healthy lifestyle choices. Your lifestyle choices are about you, not them. They shouldn't be making it about them and neither should you. Keep doing what you're doing!

You look fabulous! Well done!

If it fits within your calorie goal, then no. But, supposedly protein can interrupt your sleep because your body is working harder to break it down. If you have insomnia you may want to take that into consideration. I have insomnia and I haven't noticed a significant difference when I have protein before bed, but everyone…

I've lost 70lbs by practicing moderation and portion control. Nothing is off limits...I just limit things that aren't as healthy. Most of what I eat is healthy and I've learned to adapt typically unhealthy dishes into healthy recipes without sacrificing taste or enjoyment. Since you're just starting out you may want to…

Well done! You look great!

Wow! Fantastic job! You look terrific!!

I've been wanting to buy some for a few months now, but the $6 price tag has always stopped me. lol. I love peanut butter, so I can only imagine I'll be totally addicted to almond butter.

Ok, that video is a hot mess. Hahaha...If you use the DVDs or have an excellent instructor Zumba is a fabulous workout and lots of fun. Calorie burn obviously is going to vary from person to person, depending on weight, height, intensity, etc... Zumba has been great for my obliques and waist. I love it.

Awesome NSV! Sometimes when I'm in a store I find myself going to the plus size section forgetting that I no longer fit in them. lol. It's such a great feeling to walk back to the "regular" section!

I don't weight myself during TOM either. You can be up to 10lbs heavier during that time and it can mess with your head, so why do it? I suggest before you "binge" drink 16oz of water or more and if you're still hungry, then eat something high in protein and/or fiber. Plain Greek yogurt with ground flax seed and fresh…

4oz is precooked serving size and 3oz is cooked serving size. 4oz raw=3oz cooked.

I work out late too and I usually have a cup of plain Greek yogurt with ground flax seed and fresh fruit. The protein from the yogurt and the fiber from the flax seed and fruit keep me satisfied without all the calories.

Congrats, you look fabulous! My 9 month anniversary was yesterday and what a difference between now and last April, right? Clothes shopping is exciting again! Again, you look wonderful!

Wow is right! Awesome NSV! And you look fabulous!

Great idea! And you look awesome!

Only those closest around me know that I'm getting back in shape and I prefer it like that. MFP is the only place I post about exercising and what I eat. Posting it all over FB is not me and I find myself rolling my eyes when other FB friends post about going to the gym everyday, what they eat everyday, etc, each to…

^^^^This. And you're lucky to have that "dilemma." I'm the opposite--carbs come too easily for me and I have to really work to get my daily protein. I say keep doing what you're doing.

Well done! You look great!

What an accomplishment! You are doing a fabulous job!

You can weigh items raw or cooked, but the calculations are different , as well as the serving size. Ex. 4oz of raw chicken=3oz of cooked chicken or 16oz of raw ground beef=12oz cooked ground beef. Most food scales come with a book that tell you the calculations for various foods, raw and cooked, etc. I weigh and measure…
