I'm sure this will be unpopular and I'll get some bad replies here, but here's mine. I'm all about having a healthy outlook about oneself. Being down on oneself constantly leads to depression and suicidal thoughts and drug use, etc. But this is what bothers me more. Being positive for a majority, women especially, means…

I also find it depressing to see the "ups" even though they go down. Frankly I don't have time every morning. I keep my scale in the bathroom across the house from my bedroom. I have to be very organized in the am to get ready in a short amt of time. 🙂

I really focus more on calories. Some days I may want to eat healthier and some I may be in a situation where my food isn't so "healthy" but I keep portions down. I find that if try to be too strict on every little thing, I burn out quickly and will quit. I like the fact that this tracker allows me to choose "bad" foods…

I eat some triscuit Crackers with a couple of slices of sharp cheddar. The fiber in the Crackers plus the milk proteins and fats keep me full for quite a while.

I am in this boat. First year teacher weight and covid quarantine weight added to menopause has been a huge downer for me. I have tried WW and it worked for me when I was in my 30s; not so much now. MFP helped me after I left WW. And here I again. I'd love to friend you if someone would tell me how. I could use some help.

I could use some help. I gained weight during the 2019-2020 school year. First year teacher weight, and then the quarantine hit, so that brought on boredom eating. Now that this next school year seems to be at least starting normally, this is the time. Can use all the encouragement I can get.

I use Dance off the inches various dvds. I'm going to start a recommended cycle from one of their box sets. I wanted the Firm Express, but I can't find it exc. on the internet. I already had one DOTI dvd and liked it. Anyone else using these? I'd love feedback. Count me in.

I agree with this quote. I normally don't do message boards on any website, but with fitness, sometimes others have ideas and methods that work for them that I might see and then try. If I see too much nastiness, I guess I'll stop this one too.

After reading more of these replies, I have add a couple thoughts. 1) If you've ever done what I call a "good clean" then you know that should be counted. When you run around every room to clean and vacuum and move furniture and change sheets then put them in and out of washer and dryer, that's exercise. Perhaps everyone…

I think if you are honest about the calories burned you should count it. Obviously you can't count that as intense exercise. Actually your question reminds me that I should counting my calories burned at work and here at home also, not just the gym.

Weight is a number, like age, and shouldn't have the power to dictate what we do. Or when, or how, or what we wear to do it. Improving is a lifelong process, and if I waited to do some things I want to do until I'm perfect, I may not do them. Carry on!
