I live to run. I love to run. I have determined that people don't quit running when they get old, they get old when they quit running. 20 years ago the sight of a beautiful woman jogging down the street inspired lust, now it just causes jealousy. Yep, I'm definitely hooked on running.

Last night was the first time that I watched the show. I'm glad that I didn't watch it before I started my own fitness plan. I think that it could give people who are new to diet and exercise a wrong impression of what it takes to get healthy.

Layers rule. I have a pair of very thin thermal pants that I wear under running pants. Top half is a thermal top, wicking T-shirt or fleece and a running jacket. The best part of running in winter is that you can run faster than the temps. 6 MPH in 5° makes me feel awesomely fast.

December 30 - 2.51 miles Monthly total - 40.88 I finished no where near my goal for this month but I did get some much needed rest from aches and pains. I'll be starting the new year with a 5K race on the first. That will be the first 3 miles towards my goal of 1500 in 2013.

I keep a supply of Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches in the freezer. Just 150 calories with 2mg fat, 4 mg protein and 3mg fiber. Makes for a nice bedtime treat and they are reasonably healthy.
