  • This is exactly my problem. I have accumulated 35 pages of my own recipes. This shouldn't be such a difficult thing to do. Seriously.
  • I'm also unable to add a recipe. I even re-booted my computer. Anyone know how to contact tech support? I can't find how to do that.
  • I have BodyMedia, and it's not syncing.
  • I have to do that. If I stay up past a certain point, I just eat. I call it the witching hour...
  • One thing that a WW leader said that stuck with me was this: No one got here by eating a piece of peach pie. Eating the whole pie, or eating it every day is the problem. That about summed it up for me. There are some foods I really have a hard time eating only a serving of. Like potato chips. One chip, and before I know…
  • I never thought of water jogging. What a great idea! We have a pool at the Community Center, but I can''t swim b/c I have labrum tears in both of my shoulders, so the arm movement kills me. But jogging should work! They also have a fitness center, but it's on the top floor of the Community Cehter, and it's all windows,…
  • Water is very important to weight loss. Try to get more water, for starters. A few other thoughts: Don''t go just by the scale. Have you taken your measurements? You may be losing inches even if you're not losing weight. On your calorie intake: have you looked into your BMR and TDEE? Here's a great explanation:…
  • Thank you. This explanation is awesome. I saw the original post that's referred to, and started this over the weekend. The explanation here really helped me wrap my head around it. Now I have a question, a bit off topic: What does it mean when someone posts: "Bump."? I'm a bit new at this, sorry if it's a stupid question.…
  • Ahh...that makes sense! Thank you!
  • I'm not allergic to anything, but there are several things that I'm sensitive to: Dairy: mostly ice cream and milk. I'm ok with small amounts of cheese, and I can eat yogurt. Gluten: this is one that makes it impossible for me to loose weight. If I eat anything with gluten in it, I will show up two lbs heavier the next…
  • Yeah, these are really good, and not too sweet. If you like them sweeter, you can drizzle a little more honey or maple syrup on them. I don't cook the oats first. Not sure how it would come out with quick oats. I never use them. It's worth a try though. I would imagine the texture would be a little different, that's all.
  • If you gravitate towards high carb and sugary foods for breakfast, try this. I make these once a week, and freeze them. I grab and go, pop one in the microwave for about 30 seconds (until it's warm enough) and drizzle with about 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup. They are baked oatmeal, in individual muffin cups. I use the…
  • I could also use some company with this. I'm 58, and slow is good for me too. I would love some people my own age group to work with. Feel free to add me. My name is Blanche.
  • I'm from Anthem Arizona. It's 25 miles north of Phoenix,
  • I drink water mostly. For variety, I'll toss a fruit flavored herbal tea bag into my water bottle once in a while. My favorite is Celestial Seasonings Country Peach Passion. Just enough flavor with no sugar. Good luck with the soda. It's a hard habit to break.
