I'm Dutch too, living in County Dublin for the last 14 years. I'm always looking for more friends here on MFP, so anyone feel free to add me :)

First time,I stopped because I reached my goal weight. "Nice," I thought, "now I can start eating normally again". So I stopped counting, and started eating. And slowly more and more bad eating habits crept their way back into my diet again. And then I got lazy with exercising because I never was fond of it in the first…

There are days where's I'm certain I've lost that years ago

Amazing work, you truly are an inspiration!

My dairy is open. it's far from perfect since I'm still getting the hang of this new healthy living thing though  Feel free to add me, I can always do with more friends and more idea on how and what to eat.

Hi there! I've got my goal set for a slightly higher end-weight at the moment, but I want to lose around a 100 pounds eventually. I'm in this for the long haul. Feel free to add me (anyone in this thread feel free) I'd love to have some friends so we can motivate and support each other!

Feel free to add me too. I'm only 3 weeks in but super-motivated. Actually, this site is getting me more and more motivated every day! I'm 35, mum of a 12 year old daughter, and I want to lost around a 100 pounds in total. I'd love some friends and some support!

If something only gives a 100g measurement, but you have 350g, you log it as 3.5 portions of 100g. Then MFP should automatically convert that to 350g. The same if you have a smaller, amount, 75g for example. You then log it as 0.75 portions of 100g It baffled me too first of all, but now I've got it worked out ;)

At least 2 different types of fruit, fresh veggies to nibble on like carrots and cucumber, lettuce, stir-fry veg, chicken fillets, (brown) rice, eggs, mushrooms, onion, yoghurt, herbal tea... I usually make sure I have those foods at home for healthy snacks and easy meals.

Hi Clare, I'm in Ireland, I'm 35 years old, mum of a 12 year old girl who's my main motivation. I'm just climbing my way up out of a deep depression myself. Eating better and exercising really helps. I started with 20 minute walks too, the first week my legs really hurt but it got easier now I'm doing 30 minutes this week.…

Me too. I'm a size 22-24 (UK) at the moment, but I'd love to be a size 14-16.

WW is great and if you can afford it and find a nice group nearby it is a very good weight loss program. I did WW several years ago and lost over 50 pounds. While I did like a lot about it (logging everything I ate was especially helpful, and so were recipes and healthy eating tips) I prefer MFP. Besides the fact that it's…

I'd love to look the way she looks there, she's beautiful.

That's my reasoning for avoiding them too. It's just too much work for one or to bites

This is how I do it as well. Since the weather is awful over here at the moment I can't bear to drink cold water, but herbal teas are lovely and have added positive effects beyond hydration. I wouldn't count coffee, fizzy drinks and so on though.

Hi there. I'm also a gamer, MMO and single player. It leaves me far to sedentary for my own good I have to admit. I do own a Wii, but it's gathering dust somewhere in a cupboard. I hate exercise too. Mainly because my muscles have turned into custard and I'm huffing and puffing after the lightest type of exercise. I've…

I like popcorn, carrots dipped in low fat cream cheese, apple slices dipped in peanut butter, yoghurt with fruit and rice cakes with peanut butter or jam. If I go for the dips I simply put one or two tablespoons of dip on a small plate, that way I know exactly how much I'm eating and can't go over the limit. I've heard…

Take baby steps. Changing everything over in one go is daunting and can cause you to despair and give up. Try to stay near the calories given to you by MFP, make sure you get your 5 a day and drink your water, and going for a walk every day (like you are doing) is a great start. As you go on you can make more changes, and…

I would love to join! I'm 5'7 and am more aiming to be a Christina Hendricks then a Victoria Beckham as my goal, if you know what I mean :) I've only started MFP recently but I'm in it for the long haul, for myself and for my daughter who's got exactly the same frame I have. I want to set her a good example so she knows…

I've been doing the same thing in the evening: tea with a few light low cal biscuits. I make a small pot of herbal tea and sip it. I get something like apple& cinnamon tea it will smell lovely, and the warm water keeps me feeling full. The biscuits give me something to slowly nibble on and they are my treat for the day. I…

I've only just started, but I'm planning ahead every day too. It helps me make better choices during the day so I can actually eat along with the family dinner without going over or under my calorie count. If I do end up eating different things then it's very easy to change my tracker to whatever I ate instead. But…

Perhaps try to plan in treats regularly. A piece of cake, a bar of chocolate, whatever takes your fancy. If you cut out the things you like then eventually you'll have a moment of weakness and gorge yourself. If you know that you can occasionally have them, you won't crave them so much and you won't have to feel guilty. If…
