I've only had one person commenting so far, and I've lost over 40 pounds. Well, there was someone who asked if I'd grown taller as well, I suppose that could count  A lot of people feel it's a sensitive subject, so they won't say anything. Just in case you haven't lost weight but done something else to make you look…

have some! as long as it fits within your goals, why not?

I make my own entries and take off 33% of whatever MFP would give me. It does seem to overestimate by a lot elsewise.

have a glass of milk with your meal(s) and you'll get some healthy calories without filling you up too much.

Heath and Heather Liquorice and Oriental Spices Tea and Lipton Apple and Cinnamon Infusion. I'm not keen on fruity flavours, but I love those two, so warm and spicy!

TDEE -20% would give you 2040 Aiming for a pound loss would be TDEE -500 which is 2050 They are both very close, so pick whichever you like. Since your exercise is calculated in with your TDEE (I assume) you don't eat your exercise calories back.

Just eat as normal. The only thing I do tend to avoid is high sodium, since that can cause water retaliation and then your weight spikes, so it seems like you haven't lost anything or even gained.

I don't suffer from GERD myself, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable comes a long soon ;) I can help a bit with the thirst though. If you are pro-active with drinking your water, it should hopefully mean that thirst isn't a problem. I usually have a 600 ml (1 pint, 20 oz) bottle of water within reach of me at all times…

Go and see your doctor. It sounds like a pinched nerve, but you want to be certain it isn't heart-related.

Don't do the Shred in one go. I know it's advertised as such, but even Jillian herself has said it's better for your muscles if you take breaks in-between. Take a rest day, and see if it feels better. If not, see your doctor to find out what's going on, you don't want to injure yourself and not be able to exercise for…

Also, don't worry to much about natural sugar. It's only the processed stuff that's bad for you, the sugar in fruit and veg isn't bad for you at all. As a matter of fact, unless you have a medical reason for tracking it, you might simply want to stop tracking it at all for that reason, since MFP doesn't differentiate…

I'd guestimate, perhaps look up the calorie count for a similar bagel from a similar restaurant. It's the best you can do ;)

That is awesome! I'm so happy for you!
-
Thanks for all the adds, people :)

Thanks! Leslie is lovely, always so positive and upbeat! She always puts a smile on my face :D

Jillian herself advices to take rest days in between. I'd do 5 days 1 week, then 5 days the next, then move on to the next level. Your muscles need a chance to repair. As for weights, I used 2 500 ml water bottles filled with water and that was hard for me, but everyone can lift different weights so you'll have to find…

Awesome result, you are such an inspiration!

you need to eat 3500 calories over your TDEE to gain a pound, so no, you haven't gained. However, depending on sodium content you could retain water and it could look like you've gained. Any gain should disappear within a few days though. The best thing to do the day after a day like that is to drink plenty of water,…

Don't you ever do anything you don't really like, but it's needed so you do it anyway? I do plenty of things every day I don't like: the dishes, cleaning toilets, paying the bills. I do them because I know it needs to be done. It's the same with exercise. Your body needs it to stay healthy and to function properly. So…

well said. He's likely just copying behaviour from his own dad and other men with young children around him. It's very normal for dads nowadays to be hands on with their babies, including pushing prams, feeding them and changing them. It's only natural that their sons copy this in their own game play. It's normal, healthy,…

Go for a walk! There are also plenty of exercise videos out there, all you need is a DVD player. Youtube has a bunch of free ones as well, for example look for Tiffany Rothe's ones. Sit-ups, push-ups, running in place while watching tv, dancing to your favorite music: none of hem need equipment. Just keep moving and you'll…

I find MFP is less confusing then WW since you simply count calories, you don't have to convert everything in points. I also really like how you can customise your own settings, and track carbs, protein, fat, sodium, sugar and so on separately. For me MFP is going slower then WW, but I'm eating a lot better and exercising…

It happens a lot to me too. That's why I'm not weighing in this month at all, and focussing instead on how I feel, how my clothes feel, and how I look (and of course measurements). After that month there should be some form of loss on the scale as well ;)
-
She'll still get presents under the tree of course! I just think she'll probably have outgrown toys by next year :(
-
My 12 year old daughter is still adorably young for her age. She wants Monster High dolls, a knitting basket for her wool and knitting needles, some books and The Sims 3 Supernatural. It's probably the last year we'll have toys under the tree so we're making the most of it :)

Liquorice and Oriental Spices, so warming and tasty!

I did the 30DS without shoes, but did get a very sore knee. I was aware my knees are bad, so I only did the Shred 3 days a week, but I still had to give up after 12 days because of the pain :( I've been doing the sit ups and weight exercises separately this week, together with some lower impact cardio. I know the strength…

That number on the scale doesn't tell the whole story! Take measurements, take pictures, pay attention to how your clothes feel. Sometimes what we don't lose in pounds, we lose in inches instead...

Soup is great, thanks for the recipe. Here's a link with lots of soup recipes under 100 calories, for if you need more ideas! http://www.fatsecret.com/recipes/collections/nutrition/low-calorie/under-100-calorie/Soups.aspx

I have to admit the 30 Day Shred works, but I can't stand the woman herself. Give me Leslie Sansone any day!
