When I didn't I always felt hungry and my hair got really thin, so now I'm eating them back. I don't eat all of them since I do feel MFP overestimates calories burned. I aim for eating half of them, but on hungry days I don't hesitate to eat more of them since I'd rather lose slowly then feel weak and hungry.

It's hard to start out with, I was very sore the first few days. I'm on day 10 of level 1 now, but I only do 3 days a week with other exercises on other days. The shred can be very hard on knees and mine are very weak so 3 days a week is about what I can handle. Having said that, even with only doing 3 days a week I have…

The fat is in that little pouch, the powder is more then just herbs as far as I know, it's all concentrated stuff. Have you tried looking it up here in the data base? The info on the pot does sound confusing :frown: Else just log it as per "prepared meal" and consider it a lesson learned.

It's hard to tell without seeing your diary to be honest. Personally I started eating more and doing the 30 day shred on top of my daily walks and that broke my plateau. It feels a bit backward to eat more to start losing again, but my body just seems happier to let go of those extra pounds when it's sure it will won't…

I'm 36 and have a 12 year old daughter. Anyone feel free to add me!

I'm sorry to hear about your injury. You got great results though! Perhaps you can finish the days you have left when your ankle is better? That way you didn't quit, you just postponed ;)
-
people, this thread is from March. I don't really think the OP needs your advice any more, the two months are long past ;)

True, but that also means that right now every console has a large library to chose from, most of them have had several hardware revisions that make the consoles better, and they've dropped in price. I wouldn't be an early adopter just for a 5 year old to be honest. Taking in account the games available, I'd say the DS…

Perhaps he hopped on the scale behind her and she didn't notice!
-
That's a good Question! I don't really know to be honest, hopefully someone will come along soon with some advice.

I'd probably try to drink plenty of water since an indulgent weekend probably involved plenty of sodium, but besides that I'd just go back to my normal routine.
-
I fully agree with this. Try to eat mostly healthy to give your body the nutrients you need, and have the occasional/small treat so you won't feel deprived. That way you have the best of both worlds :)

Great NSV, well done! Something those little things feel just as good (or even better) as seeing that number on the scale drop

Leslie Sansone "walk at home" is low impact and perfect for beginners, while still providing a good workout. I started out with her when I couldn't manage the harder DVDs. Look it up on youtube if you want to try it out before buying.

There are a lot of useful exercise videos out there, both in the shops and on youtube. "Walking at home" with Leslie Sansone is a great place to start, especially if you aren't very fit. "30 Day Shred" By Jillian Michaels is more advanced, but is very short (30 minutes including warm-up and cool-down) and a lot of people…

I started doing the 30 Day Shred recently and I'm stiff and sore all over. I found doing the easier yoga exercises on the Wii Fit helped me a lot, just gently stretching eases the muscles.
-
Yes it is, the same workout for 10 days then you can move on to level 2. And you don't actually have to do 10 days in a row, from what I've read Jillian herself recommends taking a rest day every few days just to let your muscles heal and repair. I've been doing yoga before the shred and the warm up and stretching seems to…

It really depends on your level of fitness. When I started my weightloss journey I couldn't even make it through the warm-up. So I l did other things like going for brisk walks and doing Leslie Sansone videos instead. I'd say give it a try, you have nothing to lose (but weight). If it's too hard, don' be discouraged but go…

I really like Leslie Sansone's Walking at home videos. I also love my Wii, mainly for Wii Fit plus and Just Dance. I'm doing the 30 Day Shred at the moment, can't say I love it, but it surely is short, powerful and Effective!

Yes, don't stop exercising and counting calories. Just give it time, you are on the right track :)

If you work out more, especially doing something like the shed, you should also eat more. Your body will thank you for it, and will also be more likely to let go of that extra fat. Also, read this: https://www.turbokick.com/wblog/?p=709 It's common to not lose weight or even gain weight when starting a new exercise…

You can either add the ingredients separately, or if you eat that particular meal often you could create your own recipe. If the item you are looking for is not in the database at all, there is an option to add it yourself as well.

I started yesterday, it was very hard even with the modified versions and I'm so sore now! I plan on doing it 4 days a week with rest days in between to give my muscles a chance to recover. it might take longer that way, but that doesn't really matter to me. Good luck!

I'm a pear too, I keep losing from my waist and chest but not so much from my hips and thighs, sigh. my upper body looks like it belongs to a much smaller person then my lower half :noway: The only thing to do is stick with it, since there's no such thing as spot-reducing. eventually the inches have got to come off the…

I would tell her to join MFP, set herself up to lose no more then 1 pound a week (1/2 pound if she's only having to lose little), to drink her water and to mildly exercise. If she's breast feeding there is a special group for that here I believe. For exercises I would recommend going for walks, perhaps taking the baby in…

I love this! Thanks for posting this, it will make my walks far more interesting :)

I started as well today. I thought I was going to die, I could barely breathe through the cardio bits :D At least it's only a short workout. I'm planning on doing the shred 4 days a week, with two rest days and a cardio day to give my muscles a chance to recover. I am so sore now, no idea how I'm going to be able to brush…

Wow, I'm having the same problem, with similar numbers! I'm really tempted to drop my daily calorie amount lower but I know I'll feel miserable on less. I fully know how you feel though, I had hoped to lose enough in September to move from "obese" to "overweight" but that just didn't happen :( I'm sorry I have no wise…

I use DVDs, youtube videos, the Wii Fit Balance board, Wii Just Dance and do lots of walking. It saves me money and time, and no one can see my uncoordinated flailing

I try to treat myself a little bit, but also stay within my calories. I tend to skip heavy exercise, but a gentle walk might actually help if the weather allows it. Try making a big pot of chicken soup for warmth and comfort, drink herbal tea instead of cold water, or make a low calorie hot chocolate (Options makes a 40…
