All these posts and no one is mentioning the 30 day eating plan to accompany it? She's got a plan (it was for ripped in 30, but its applicable here) if you google it. This stuff is 80% diet, 20% exercise. No point killing yourself with the exercise if you are ignoring the correct eating plan.

Pick the heaviest weight that allows you to complete the set with proper form and full range of motion but still challenges you greatly on the last repetition. As you progress you increase the weight, or increase the repetitions.

Higher reps tend to be with lower weights and are for toning purposes. Low reps are for strength/muscle building. The last 3 reps in any set should be very hard, but not to the point of failure unless specified.

Resting muscle groups is absolutely essential for strength training. You need to take a full day off any strength training to allow recovery and rebuilding generally. Not doing this will hamper your progress. Cardio is fine though, do it on your rest days if you wish. You can also consider splits whereby you work out…
