That's funny. Thanks for sharing.

Those flavored coffee creamers are my last vice. But I do measure them.

I find it hard to believe that of all the ways in the whole world to move your body, there is not a single one of them that you find appealing. The only real reason that I am having success this time is that I've found exercise that I like and I also sneak exercise into my daily routine. I do Zumba, Aqua Zumba, I'm…

I am not sure if you have health insurance, but I think you need to work on the mental aspects of weight loss. Find a good therapist who can help you get past this or join your local Overeaters Anonymous group. You definitely need mental support right now. We'll do what we can to help but none of us are licensed…

It was good to read this because I put c25k on hold myself. My baseline wasn't where I wanted it to be, and I felt like I would never get off Week 1. Right now, I am mostly walking (although when Pharrell, Pink or Ed Sheeran come on my iPod there ends up being running) and focusing on getting stronger. I walked a half…

Should mention: Once you go that first time and know what kind of shoe you need, then you can go pick them up at Famous Footwear if you want.
-
Definitely go to a running store. You have to buy shoes anyway, and the good ones (which you should be using regardless) cost the same whether you buy them there or somewhere else. I have always been told to go to Fleet Feet, but I learned there is a guy here in Nashville that they call the "shoe whisperer" and I am going…

Eh. I can go either way on this. I have pretty bad periods and they usually involve embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions, so I am very self-conscious about working out. Also, pain. The pain. However, physical activity does make you feel better. You don't have to go to Zumba or run six miles, but I would take a short walk,…

I am in Nashville. Anyone who wants to add me, go ahead. I need all the friends I can get on here!

I hate bananas. Hate them. Not a fan of kale either.

Barracuda by Heart is my new favorite work-out song. Toxic by Britney Spears has been on my playlist since the day it came out.

I make a chocolate zucchini cake with cream cheese icing that is to-die-for and even folks who hate veggies love it. Same with my carrot cake. But, you'd probably still be better off getting a real birthday cake because just because they have veggies doesn't mean they are good for you.
-
And, even though fruit is better for you than a chocolate cake, it's still a lot of sugar and you have to limit the amount... There is no way my doctor would tell me to eat a giant bowl of fruit instead of a small piece of cake. I love all these gifs. You guys are awesome.

I agree with most of the folks here... I am not going to go out knowing I missed cake on my last birthday on earth! I may have cut down on my drinking and eliminated a lot of things, but on my birthday I am having a piece of store-bought cake. And the portion control thing is important. If you are going to have any success…

I am making a taco salad with lean ground beef, lettuce, kidney beans, salsa, low-fat sour cream and shredded mexican cheese. I used to make them all the time, but for some reason I got away from it. I am looking forward to it.

I do think that porn is affecting how people view sex and what they think is "good" or not. I was seeing a younger guy one time (definitely generation Y) and we had fun but he had some very interesting ideas about how things worked. I finally told him he watched too much porn because no one did that stuff in real life. I…

I have been doing couch to 5K. I have the active.com app on my phone, and I love it. I am a big gal, but I just take the running part easier. After all, you want to build endurance and then work on speed training.
-
Here's a true story: I don't care what your intentions were, if you got off the couch that day, it's a great workout. Just because you want to beat yourself up that your 20-mile run was cut short or you could only do 10 reps instead of 15, I'm not doing it. Any time you move, you are doing more than everyone who is sitting…

I would probably just add lots of veggies too. In fact, a taco salad with ground turkey, low-fat sour cream, salsa, lettuce, kidney beans and an ounce of Mexican shredded cheese sounds really awesome, and I am totally thinking I might do that for dinner!

This is the best April Fool's thread EVER. Epic. That being said, I am on a "limited carb" diet, and my doctor says I could still have one small potato a day if I want it. And some days I do. I agree with the baked potatoes with salsa on them. When I lost 60 pounds a few years ago, I would often get those at Wendy's for…

I am insanely busy. I generally work 60-70 hours a week and have other things going on. I actually pencil it in to my schedule. I work out on my lunch break some days, and I go to a 24-hour gym and am often there late at night after work or early in the morning before work. Make the appointment with yourself and don't…

I mostly walk. I am not a great runner. In fact, when I am really into speed walking, my walking laps are faster than my running laps. I just keep moving. The best thing about running/walking is that you're really not competing against anyone but yourself.

Here's a newsflash for each and every woman on this site: NO ONE looks like a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, not even the models themselves. There's this magical tool on computers called PhotoShop, and for years magazines and advertisers have been using it to punk us. No one is that thin, no one's boobs are that perky…

Looks like there are few other Disney runners/walkers here. I'm signed up for the Tower of Terror 10 miler in eight weeks (eight weeks!) and I am completely terrified of getting swept. Oh well, I'm trying, which most people aren't, and even if I get swept, I am still at Disney World.

Dasani doesn't have it. Or if they do, it's masquerading by a different name. Honestly, it doesn't look like anything too harmful, just non-nutritive food additives and some food color.

Jumping in here. Never used the forums before... One of my friends got me on to these liquid water enhancers, and I like them because they really do help me drink more water, which is apparently something I do less of in my old age. Who knew? After I workout, I gulp it down, but just during the day to keep from getting…
