if you don't' end up liking it, use it as a moisturizer at night for your skin, it's the greatest!!!

i can totally relate! what else can we do? i feel like there is not one more thing i can do- the weight just doesn't budge.

southern Alberta...yayah!

i would suggest pilates. AND i would also suggest figuring out what is wrong with your back...SOME core work makes certain back problems worse. for example...if your psoas is OUT or your pelvis is sprained (actually quite common)...until you work on fixing those issues...it will jsut get worse. doctors dont always know...…

yeah, maybe i'm doing something wrong with my cals. the thing is, i don't FEEL like i'm eating too much, ya know? sugar? pretty good most of the time!!! room for improvement for sure. Thanks for the thoughts
-
nope! not undereating...and eat most or all of my exercise cals. and i go over a little too sometimes, kind of a zig zag approach i geuss. i keep thinking i'll be patient...but i'm going to have to be patient the rest of my life at the rate i'm going.

right around where MFP says i should be to lose each week.
-
yes, this is absolutely true. this is why we don't need the scale! just go by clothes, tape measure, how you feel. :o)

Jillians's 2 newest workouts are more intense for me than p90x!!!! Cindy

good grief! no, a normal eating day or two per week is actually a good thing. it chemically reminds your body that it is getting enough food. otherwise, your metab will crash!! that is why dieting becomes so hard, and some poeple eventually gain weight ON their diet. it is good to cut back, but i really believe in…
-
Yes it works. the workouts are doable...if you're in shape first, it helps! you don't have to do the eating plan.
-
I dont ' know. but I will watch cals, work out HARD for weeks and nothign changes...then I'll take a few days off...and just like you, I finally see a change! I personally think it's good to mix stuff up and shock the body.
-
get jillian michaels book "making the cut" or try her 30 day shred
-
no, no low carb diets...they make me sick... yes, thanks everyone...I will see my doctor.
-
sorry, I shoudl add that I've been doing this intensity of working out for over a year, and I totally warm up and stretch for 20 minutes afterwards... it really isn't that kind of pain... and unfortunately, I eat plenty....hehe
-
I personally try to not weigh in much at all...it's like you said...it's discouraging and can set the tone for the day/week. If I've been working my butt off for a month, eating good...etc...and step on the scale and nothing (aka feb) then I'm totally ready to give up!!! other than I keep going because ultimately I do it…

the only thing I can think of is that you're not just laying in bed all day. you're up and around, walking, active. even just a little activity raises your metabolism. also, building muscle and regular workouts burn lots more calories....SO it is possible that you are burning off around 2400 cals per day. remember when you…

Mine has been doing the same thing for over a month, despite intesne work!!! Please don't give up, my body is retaining fluid right now for some reason, and yours is probably too. and try not to focus on pounds. I know it's hard, but you've probably gained muscle...and so try to focus on how you look, and how your clothes…

I just might need some motivation... that's me too...it doesn't matter how little I eat, ultimately it boils down to amount of exercise I do!!! I'd love some more motivation so I can get back in mind-set...tomorow. haha

Thank you. that is really good to know. I was already sure I was staying away from Plyo. I'd like to say "I did plyo"....but like you said, it's not worth it. What I might try my first week...is the lean program...probably have to modify cardio quite a bit too...no jumping...and then do the last half of stretch x after…

I've been told I've got muscles that have spasmed. is that a diagnosis? I suppose it is... Well, I'm doing my best to stretch a LOT...sometimes it helps, Anyhow, thanks for all the suggestions...I'm seeing my physio again so I will discuss things a lot further... Thank you! Cindy
-
Yes, I have heard that too. Ironically, my core was stronger than it's ever been when this all started...but yeah, I'm working on it further... So...I;m not sure what to do yet. I'm leaning towards waiting... thanks a lot! Cindy

Yes, for almost 7 weeks I've had chiropractics, acupuncture, massage, and physio...one or two of each per week. I took a week off of any exercise during Christmas and low and behold, my back muscles relaxed and I felt much better. started up again, and back to tight and pain. sooooo...I was thinking I'd be stubborn and do…

Wow, I can't even say how much I appreciate those responses...they really really help. I may just start with the ab one and do that for awhile first. Being in pain all the time is so frustrating. especially this time of year...sigh. Thanks everyone... Cindy
-
I do own it already, and am stubborn enough to do it if I put my mind to it. I appriciate knowing that it has helped! Cindy
-
it's hard because we all want quick results! I have done the pill-thing too...many years ago. didn't get me anywhere! Cindy
-
I'm so sorry too...I can't even imagine. I do know that you will see her again though... Cindy
-
I've read countless times that it doesn't matter WHEN you eat, just what and how many calories OVERALL...it's a cumulative thing as far as I'm concerned. I DO think it's probably better for sleep not to eat close to bedtime, but it doesn't stop me too often:wink: cindy
-
I personally believe in 5 good days per week, and 2 to have some freedom....that way you can try a little harder during the week, if you can eat your treat on the weekend. but as far as your knee goes...yes, that is VERY frustrtating...I hope it heals quickly. Cindy

maybe try it with splenda to cut a LOT of calories! might have to try that one! Cindy
