  • @Bohemian - Yes! I am doing c25k! I like to say that I'm on week 0, since week 1 involves running for a minute. It's a bit frustrating, but I hope I can progress up to a minute. I think when I do jog, I end up running instead of jogging, so you're probably right, I need to slow it down. Thanks! As for my Wednesday…
  • So today is Tuesday, thus the goals....hmm. Well, one goal I have is to be able to jog a 5k by April. I'm going to be part of the Color Vibe run in Atlanta, and I would like to be able to jog it. I'm not off to a good start though. I can only run for about 30 seconds right now, and I'm working up to a minute. It's awful, I…
  • Wow guys, I've had a crazy week/weekend. My mom became sick with the flu, so I've been taking care of her, along with housesitting for a friend of mine that lives about half an hour from my house. So I spent all weekend running from one house to another. I went way over my calories yesterday, but I did well today, and…
  • Friday Fitness- I've started walking 3 miles a day. I'm building to jog so I can at least jog the color vibe run in April! It suddenly became very cold down here (I live in southeastern Georgia), I'm talking a drop of 20+ degrees in one day, so I'm trying to adjust to that while maintaining exercise. It's tricky, but I…
  • Hi everybody! I was part of my fitness pal in August, but got sidetracked with the last semester of college (which I graduated with flying colors! Dean's List, what what?!). I gained back about 7 pounds, but I'm trying to stay active while job hunting so I won't slip into self-destruction mode. I have about 117 pounds to…
  • Couch to 5k is an amazing program. If you feel as though you can't run for a minute though, you can always either lower the running time or up the recovery time. I'm a terrible runner and tweaked the program a bit to run for 30 seconds and recover for 2 minutes, then work up to the 1 minute. Good luck!
