  • Fabulous! You are an inspiration, and you probably will influence others as a bonus. Good for you!
  • Completed day 14, only exercising after dinner - no mindless snacking. I can see how this changing habitual behavior is possible. It's like giving up smoking or any other habit, really. You replace it with something better. I know we are all capable of it. Sometimes you have to focus, or want it badly, maybe dig deep. Keep…
  • Day 13 completed! And when I did my weekly weigh in this morning the scale registered a little less. The only thing that changed is - no more evening snacking. It's working!
  • Day 12 down, had a good day. My weekly weigh in is tomorrow and and I think I may see some progress on the scale. Even if I don't, I am still feeling positive about this 21 day process. Bo, it is very rewarding to have been of some help to you. That makes me feel good. Thank you!
  • Finished day 11 tonight! I almost picked up a chip and ate it, but thought, whoa there big fella! That would be mindless snacking. So the good news is I THOUGHT about it! Sure, I have room in the calories for it, but I WANT to make it through 21 days. And I will! One day at a time. Best of luck to you all, keep your goal…
  • Climbing into bed, just finished 10 days of no snacks between dinner and bed! It has been crazy at work - 12 hour days and that's helped. And so have all of you! I have to go back in tomorrow early so am logging tonight now. @MarktheBark - just keep going, a misstep or two, or a bad day once in a while is no big deal. Each…
  • Day 9 done! I feel a habit coming on. This feels good, having some control over the situation!
  • I have to go to bed now as I have an early meeting tomorrow morning. Just completed day 8, and I think I am making progress since I am NOT inhaling all the snack items in the house. Since I am nearing my target weight the scale is moving slowly. But it IS moving! @jafray4: you are doing terrific! 7 days completed, 23…
  • Checking in with 7 days completed! 1 week- wouldn't have done it without help. Thank you all! --G.
  • Day 6, check! Almost a week!
  • Climbing into bed, just completed day 5 successfully!
  • It's a new day where I am, made it through last night with no snacks. Although dinner ran a little late. Still good! That makes 4 consecutive nights I have made it, and that's because of your help. Thank you!
  • Good morning! By my count I have completed 3 nights of not snacking, and it's starting to feel easier to do. This group is definitely helping me. Thank you all.
  • Checking in/accountability- 1 more day! Thank you, Abobo08 and all participants for the opportunity to retrain my habits. Since we are all habitual to some extent, the trick is to cultivate better habits. I'm not a night owl, typically in bed from 10 to 11 or so. So I struggle with after dinner grazing and that is the…
  • Hi! 1 day in a row! I'm on a roll.... --Gregory
  • Hello, all! Just saw this group as I'm climbing into bed, sounds like just the ticket. My name is Gregory and I generally do well until evening. Then I will eat everything that's not tied down! 21 days doesn't sound too tough, I can do that - with just a little help. Sign me up, please!
  • OP- what you are doing is working fine! Terrific progress, and a cute polka dot bikini!
  • posting for you, to see if this works This is hard on a phone.
  • About 5 years ago I developed arthritis symptoms in several joints. I looked for a couple of years for something that would help. Coincidentally I have a young daughter who developed gastric problems which her doctor eventually pinned on gluten. So I learned to cook gluten free for her. Reading lots of information, gluten…
  • Extra fabulous idea, in for the win!
  • Naturally, it will be personal for each one of us, but for me, I agree with the previous poster that MFP is a blessing. I, too have tried before and failed but have found logging in each day with kindred souls to be one key thing. Also, making behaviour a habit greatly helps. There are lots of blogs and sites discussing…
  • never posted pics before lets see if this works Posting for LunaGreen (it may not work for me either, but I'll give it a shot)
  • This may not apply to you, but when I turned 60 I developed arthritis pain in my right wrist, thumb, elbow, ankle, knee, basically I was suddenly afflicted and couldn't lift and move as I had in the past. It took me a over a year to figure out that gluten, a pro-inflammatory, was making my arthritic joints swollen and very…
