I think maybe posture. Another thing to try and to tell yourself when running to relax. If your upper body is tense, it may cause pain.

Wow that you so much for sharing your experiences and how you handle longer runs. I can do 8 with nothing (gu, water), but I feel like after that I am really hurting as far as energy. Thirst usually isn't an issue except in the summer months as I drink a ton of water regularly. I think for runs over 8, I will hide 1 small…

I am also following Hal's advice. I did last time as well and it worked out great, and they gave out Goo packets at 8 miles during the race and I thought "what the hell", but I *think* it really made a difference. The 9-11 miles I find the toughest, so I'll bring one this weekend to test. Still have 6 weeks so that's good.…

Obviously you know it's all mental. First, pat yourself on the back for realizing you're lost before gaining back all of your hard work. Try and imagine how you would feel then? Maybe that will help light a fire under your *kitten*? Would hate to see you throw in the tile, when you still have 39lbs of lose under your belt.

Only have 8 weeks left in the 30s category, but am a mom of 2, I work full time, and struggle to find time to work out, and plan meals. I have found many things that work for us though, so feel free to add. I still have about 20 to lose.
