I am a quinoa fanatic. I got a 25lb bag of it from my mom, so I've had plenty to experiment with. My favorite recipe thus far is my version of The Protein Bar's Buffalo bowl. It's basically buffalo chicken quinoa. Love it. Here's the link to the recipe on my blog:…

Coffee-Mate has a line of creamers called 'Natural Bliss' that are made with milk, sugar, and cream. No artificial sweeteners. I've had the vanilla, sweet cream, and caramel and love them all. Looks like they just came out with a chocolate one as well!

Marshmallows, peeps AND gummy bears?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOO! Adding that to the list of things to check for in the ingredients list. I feel like I always knew, but didn't want to actually remember while eating them

In my college biology class we did an experiment with slime molds and their rate of growth with certain foods and conditions. The slime mold came on petri dishes, and HAD to be returned IN CLASS after the experiment because if you threw it away it would cause an outbreak of this stuff that did not sound pleasant. It can…

Quinoa Black Bean Chili. Super delicious and filling. Here's the link to the recipe on my blog. I also have recipes for other vegetarian and seafood meals on there as well. Hope this helps! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/gingerfitness/view/quinoa-black-bean-chili-457530

I want to make all of these!

I cook mine on the 'quick cooking' setting. I've never used the white/brown rice setting (even for rice! What is my problem!) but I'm thinking it would probably be fine on that as well. I've always been told it cooks just like rice. Somehow my 25lb bag of it doesn't have directions.

This is a great chicken recipe, and it has just the right amount of spiciness. Buffalo chicken quinoa. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/gingerfitness/view/buffalo-chicken-quinoa-495759

Here's a great recipe you can make a ton of, eat for a few days, and has 33 grams of protein per serving. You could up that by adding more chicken. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/gingerfitness/view/buffalo-chicken-quinoa-495759 It's delicious!

If you love buffalo chicken, I highly recommend this recipe. I doesn't take that long to make, you can make a ton of it, and it heats up really well. It's on my blog :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/gingerfitness/view/buffalo-chicken-quinoa-495759

The personal trainer I work with is all about protein. He suggests I basically eat my weight in protein. Ex: if you weigh 200 lbs, shoot for 200 grams per day. I usually eat 125-175 grams of protein per day.

Protein Shakes. Mine are simple: Cup of unsweetened almond milk, tbsp peanut butter, maybe a banana, and chocolate protein powder with 24g of protein per scoop. I have around 3 shakes a day, but I'm also shooting for 150-200g of protein a day.
