  • We have a little ongoing thing at work for the last several years. We all weigh-in every quarter and list mini-goals to hit by the next weigh-in. It's always a cause for good-natured ribbing and just getting on each other. So, I get on the scale on January 2 and it read 271. That just pissed me off because that's almost 20…
  • Good fix. Tequila anyone?
  • Normally I'd say go with the higher calorie one so you'd feel more full and satisfied. However, since there's Tequila involved, I'd say skip the pizza and just do shots. Then who'd care how much you ate!!!

  • GREAT!!! I love NSVs. Scales are evil. Putting on smaller size jeans straight from the dryer is GREAT! Keep it going.
  • It's great that you're back here. I, too, started back a couple of months ago and I'm glad I did. Nice to see other people who are struggling with the same issues to be healthier and there's good support and ideas here. Kick some butt buddy!!
  • Both. . . . plus diet. I'm not an expert, just a normal person trying hard to get into shape and live healthier. Here's what I'm doing. To begin, I'm trying to lose 50-70 pounds, I work a 50hour per week job, married with a teenager starting college in the fall. That being said, here's my plan: Diet -- trying hard to stay…
  • Fantastic job!! And it's great that you and your wife got to do this together. Congrats!
  • Two offensive linemen in the first two rounds!! Woohoo, maybe Big Ben will live to play a few more years.

  • Here's what it looked like.
  • Welcome. You will find the reason this site/app works for you. We all have different reasons but, we all have the same goals: to be healthier and fit. I'll echo the statement that being honest with yourself is the number one thing for this site. If you don't log what you eat, drink, and exercise, then you won't get any…
  • Gotta love some Cheap Trick. I totally forgot Rick for top guitarists list.
  • How about Karen Carpenter? Bwwwaaaahaaahaaahaaahaaaaaa. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  • Helix was a great concert. They wrote some great lyrics. Give me an R. . . .O. . . . .C. . . ..K Classic!
  • Gotta check this video out. Great stuff from the Professor at the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert in 1991 with the Buddy Rich Orchestra. http://youtu.be/aT9333XiR4U
  • just moving this back up towards the top.
  • Easy. 1. Neil Peart 2. Neil Peart 3. Neil Peart 4. Keith Moon 5. John Bonham 6. Mike Portnoy 7. Alex Van Halen 8. Terry Bozio 9. Carl Palmer 10. Tommy Lee Also, I'd throw in Dave Grohl. I know he's playing guitar while fronting the Foo Fighters but the guy can play drums.
  • Here's a few more. . . .Alex Skolnick, Steve Howe, Joe Walsh, John Petrucci, Gary Moore, Billy Gibbons, Chuck Berry, B.B. King. Now as far as bass players, hell that's easy. There's Geddy Lee, Geddy Lee, and then. . . .Geddy Lee. Throw in Stanley Clark, Jaco Pastorius, Billy Sheehan. And drummers. . . . another easy one.…
  • Such a hard one. . . . The best I've ever seen in concert (no particular order, yet) Eddie, Joe Bonomassa, Alex Lifeson, Yngvie, Satch, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ritchie Blackmore (both with RJD in Rainbow and with Deep Purple), Slash, Steve Vai, . .why do I feel I'm missing some. So, if I was going to say the top of all time,…
  • Why the sudden need for a college qb to move immediately into the starting lineup? For every Cam Newton there is a Jamarcus Russell. For every Peyton Manning there's a Ryan Leaf. Not counting the 2004 Draft, you're not going to catch lightening in a bottle with first round qbs every year (not counting JP Losman). That…
  • Me too!! But I miss the one day draft. Dragging it over three days will make for excruciating over-analytical bull****!
  • I'm in the car business and it's very hard for me. I have a tough time eating lunch and dinner at normal times and I used to eat dinner when I would get home after 10 p.m. But now, I am determined and committed to eating at normal times. I bring lunch and dinner so eating at "normal" times is easier. Plus, since I'm a…
  • Absolutely. THANK YOU!!!
  • You look great. Watch out beach!!! Be confident because you've earned it.
  • My girls >> Lucy is a 9-year-old black Lab/Akita mix and Angel is a 6-year-old Rottie/Shepherd mix.
  • Going to give interval training a shot. Intervals three times a week and weight training three times a week with regular endurance cardio. I'm hoping this gets me off my plateau.
  • Fantastic. You should be so proud of what you've done. Inspiring.
  • UGH!!!!! I've backslid and am up to 241. This I don't understand since my gross calorie intake has been less than 2000 calories each day, except one, and I hit the gym four times last week and worked my tail off with weights and cardio. I did have a big meal Saturday night to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary but. . .…
