No, I'm not saying DON'T eat them back, just make sure that the calories you are eating back are CORRECT! If the calories amount reflected as burned is higher than it should be, you'll be "over eating". For example: I do 30 minutes of "Zumba". My HRM says I burned 250 calories - this is accurate. But when I enter it on…

Are you using a heart rate monitor (HRM) to calculate your calories burned? I have noticed, especially if I use exercises that have been loaded by other members, that sometimes the "calories burned" is waaaaaay more than what my HRM says. I'm not saying these amounts are wrong, they may just be wrong for me (or you).…

My HRM (Suunto M1) works great in the water. But, instead of wearing the watch on my arm I attach it to my bather so its closer to the monitor and no problem with frequency loss. Sorry, guys, don't know how that will help you!! :)

Suunto M1 - Works like a charm and has everything you need for entry level! And cheaper than Polar. Love it!

A heart rate monitor is the only way to REALLY calculate what you are burning! Sometimes I add an exercise and the time spent doing it, and it automatically loads a calorie amount. 99% of the time it is waaaaaaay more that my hrm has calculated. For eg. 45 minutes on a stationery bike, it gives an automatic 600+ cal…

You're not stupid! We've all got to learn how to use the system - nobody comes on knowing how it all works! From what I understand, it's all calculated and based on how much you want to lose per week (when you first entered your goals). But you also need to consume enough based on your BMR (see tools) to ensure that your…
