I get up at 5.45am to workout and exercise fasted. It works for me as I get stomach cramps if I try to eat beforehand. However on the weekends when I go for longer cycle rides I usually eat an hour or so before and maybe take a snack if we are going for more than a couple of hours. No right or wrong answer here it is what…

My Birthday falls on a Friday this year, so I will be getting up at the usual 5.45am to do my workout before work. I will then eat back all the lovely extra cals I have burned and feel good about myself in the process... Do what you want to do and what feels right. There is no definitive answer - you have to look inside to…

Lost 118 lbs, crossing my legs is awesome, as is wearing heels, lycra to run and cycle in and soooooo many other things...

Yes but you are saying this isn't working this time... Listen to what the other posters are saying. Make your goal less aggressive, plan ahead and make a commitment to yourself! If you want it enough you can do it...

Keep drinking plenty of water and the muscles will soon adjust to the new regime and the water retention will ease. Patience is your best tool!! I am sure if you give it a week or so doing what you are doing you will see the scales and the inches drop...

Your ticker says you have lost 1 lb in 12 days, with the small amount you have to lose then half a pound a week is sustainable and you are over-achieving on that! Also suddenly upping your exercise routine can cause your muscles to retain water for repair. You say you are doing 30DS and cycling - that is quite a lot from a…

Bread for sure... I absolutely love it but it really doesn't like me... I have also cut down to only drinking wine once a week. That has been really tough but I am certainly feeling the benefits. Everything else I try to fit into my calories so I don't feel deprived!!

I am 5'4" I'd rather be 5'9"

Open your diary Tammy and then we can assess. I am nearly 48 and I don't lose weight on 1500. I work on 1350 per day and workout everyday. Maybe try dropping a little, never below 1200 and move some more and be patient. Hormones at this age can play havoc with the scales. Also measure yourself once a month, you may be…

This would be an ideal time to do some exercise, workout DVD's, Yoga, Pilates, stretching etc. You could then save some cals for a post exercise snack. That or take up a hobby which keeps your hand and head busy, knitting, writing, whatever you want. If all else fails give yourself a facial or a manicure or a long hot…

Hi, Your weight and goals are almost exactly the same as mine, I get up at 5.45 am every morning weekdays to do my 30-45 min XTFMAX90 workout before my kids wake up and the day begins. I do get hungry by mid morning but shift my calories around to allow for a snack at about 10am. It helps. If you are really struggling…

Please be patient, half a pound a week is a sustainable loss and you will not 'burn out' like those others you are quoting. You are only about 15 lbs over your BMI healthy range so half a pound a week is sensible. I am in a similar position to you and despite sticking to 1300 average per day and working out EVERYDAY I have…

If I worked your loss out correctly you have lost an average of 2.75lbs per week since Jan? That is pretty aggressive and may be too fast for your system. Maybe set your goals to lose 1lb a week for a few weeks and see how you feel? Also keep hydrated and get enough sleep. Good luck.

This is the only 'quick' way. As others have said, calorific deficit and a bit of exercise and conditioning. With only that to lose you should be aiming for half a pound a week.

Just for today 9/3 I will do my XTFMax90 Cardio and Abs and keep my cals under 1300 I will be kind to myself and remain positive about the lifestyle changes I am making.

Have you tried buying the ready cooked vacuum packed rather than tinned? It is usually lower in sugar and can be bought with or without vinegar. I adore beetroot in all forms and ended up growing my own - even cheaper...

MMMMM Bacon, pie, ice-cream, chocolate, wine etc - couldn't live without any of them and wouldn't want to live if I had to...

You bet ya, I'm in for the last 13 lbs to my UGW, GW actually only 6 lbs away now... Want to be at UGW for 23rd July 2015 when we go on a beach holiday. That is .7 of a lb a week which is actually quite a tough target... Good luck everyone...

I have had a quick look at your diary and I would say it is pretty refined carb heavy. I know for me cutting down on refined carbs and avoiding wheat helps with weight loss. maybe try to replace some of the bread, pasta and cake products with brown rice, rye bread and complex carbs. Also weigh everything, don't eyeball or…

I think you have found a glitch in the system as you should NEVER be allocated less than 1200 a day... As others have said set your goal to half a pound a week and lightly active, then log any exercise cals and eat back half of them... Give it 4 weeks and then adjust if you aren't seeing any progress. Try to log as…

It mostly comes down to genetics and time... Some things can help, keeping hydrated, not losing too fast, moisturising, weight training. But ultimately it will be what it will be and SKIN does not have any fat or muscle, once they have gone - they have gone!! If it becomes a serious issue for you (it is for me after losing…

I am doing the XTFMAX90 Programme. It has lots of different strength workouts between 26 and 46 mins. Might be worth checking out? I set my alarm that amount of time early in the morning and do it before everyone else wakes up - only chance I get too!!

I have done every diet ever invented over the past 30 odd years. The one thing I have learnt is that the ONLY thing that works is if you maintain a calorie deficit. It doesn't matter what plan you follow, how much it costs, when you eat, what you eat, how you eat, exercise, don't exercise. If Cals In vs Cals Out is right…

I would be back to where I started, 257 lbs and steadily gaining until I died of a weight related illness. I chose this!!!

Skinny, overly hairy body, smoking & arrogance...

Pre-log an estimate of your exercise cals and food and then you can see how many are roughly left, then have a snack or extra treat to make up the difference. You can then go back and log accurately after your day is finished!

I'm 5'4" and currently 155 lbs. I have lost 10 lbs since 1st Jan averaging about 1350 per day as well as doing some exercise each day... I know the calories are low but that is what I need to do to lose, if I eat back even half my exercise cals I put on weight! C'est la vie...
