It's not secret but it is simple. Account for everything you eat, weigh and measure and log it all and make sure you are in a calorie deficit of between 250 and 500 cals a day. Keep doing it until you reach your target weight. There are lots of ways to improve the formula, exercise, additional nutritional things but…

Yes I track my weight on an app on my phone daily and watch the overall trend... I only record on MFP once a week or at the start of an exercise cycle (Monday 4 weekly).

I think maybe you are pushing yourself too hard! As some others have said if you only have a few pounds left to lose you should be aiming for .5 lbs a week. Also take some rest days from exercise and make sure the calories you are eating are giving you as much nutritional value as possible... Eating healthily and…

I lost 118 lbs in total. I made a promise to myself that I would always have a pair of jeans that fitted me - enter ebay and charity shops. I bought a pair size by size and tried to get a few things that were adaptable to supplement this along the way. It helps keep you motivated and once you get to goal you can shop till…

I think you are maybe over-complicating things. I would plug in your goals to MFP work out your calories and learn to stick to them. This will start to shift your weight. As you get more comfortable with hitting you calorie goals and weight loss goals then you can look at optimising your nutrition. I would stick to…

I look for my partner and two sons, who all eat like horses!! We have sausages and mash and veg, pie, mash and veg, curries, fish & chips from the chip shop on Fridays. I cook the same for everyone but have smaller portions of the sausages and pies and load up on veg and have a tiny bit of mash. I use cauliflower rice for…

Hi Ange, can you open your diary so we can have a look? I would suggest that you should be losing doing what you are doing but firstly I would say. Double check ALL your logging including drinks and seasonings etc. Weight and measure everything, drink plenty of water and never eat more than 50% of your exercise calories…

Yep for the guys T25 would be short and sweet and requires no equipment... 25 mins a day!

Fruit and yogurt, Nuts, grilled bacon and tomatoes and mushrooms?

Why don't you throw on a pair of shoes and go out and run together in the fresh air? Either that or set up a rota and book in your slots? Or buy another treadmill??

I'm afraid most breast tissue is fat, if you lose fat you will lose breast tissue. As lauracups says do toning on surrounding muscles and invest in padded and push up bras and a pair of 'chicken fillets'.

You are pretty much at the top of your BMI weight range, so plug in your stats to MFP and set it to lose 1 lb a week, this is still quite aggressive! Then add your training and eat your cal goal plus 50% of any exercise cals you burn. Do this for 4 weeks, plot the results and then if necessary adjust to suit your personal…

Hi, feel free to add me! I lost 118 lbs six years ago and now maintaining. I log everyday and am now working towards some more specific fitness goals. Also quite local to you and close in age so would be happy to support! Jules x

As all the others have said you know what you need to do, you just have to do it... Set your goals to half a pound a week -250 a day, stick to this and weigh everything so you know your logging is as accurate as possible. I would suggest only eat back half your exercise burns or none at all. The weight will then come off -…

Feel free to add me, I log everyday and lost 118 lbs six years ago, now working on maintaining and toning!! You can do this...

I am also a Mummy who wants tone and shape though don't need to gain weight, I am 3 lbs above my UGW. However I agree lifting is the way to go but I also have discovered a fantastic home exercise DVD XTFMAX90 by Stephanie Oram. I have completed the full 90 days and now am extending it further. It is a mix of cardio and…

Despite being very emotional this week, I have stayed on track and not binged (like I normally do when I feel like this). Only 3 lbs to UGW so really want to get there before my birthday in 5 weeks.

Try having scrambled eggs or omelette for breakfast... Nuts and/or greek yogurt, seeds for snacks and larger portions of protein with your main meals. All of above foods are great options.
-
The others have explained the maths but I would suggest if you are going to eat your exercise cals back that MFP can over-estimate so maybe try eating back half. Re JM30DS I did this a few times and when the discussion was had re calorie burn we settled on 26 mins of Circuit Training General...

I agree with the majority of the other posters. There is no way in the world that what you ate added up to under 700 cals. You need to check how you are entering and logging. If there was any feta and olives in the Greek Salad plus egg and tofu and burger and bun then you are way over the stated amount plus all the…

9:13 as it is 139 lbs so under the 140 lb - ten stone barrier... It just sounded good. I am at 142 today and now thinking I might re-assess and push to 130 - 135 lbs slowly over the next six months with some lifting and body recomp and toning work!!

I sometimes have the same problem on days when I do long bike rides. I can easily burn 1300 plus calories and normally only eat around 1200 to 1300 a day. As long as you feel ok and eat a bit more if you feel you need to it is fine... Just not everyday and don't drop lower than 1200 ever...

Black Americano or Double Expresso depending on the severity of my caffeine requirement... I prefer to eat my calories, or skip buying coffee altogether and benefit your pocket too...
-
Neither need be overwhelming. Plan ahead and organise yourself. Practise makes perfect and the longer you do both the easier it will get... Finding exercise you enjoy can be challenging and then making time for it of course but you need to make a commitment to yourself if you want to succeed at weight loss and exercise…

I understand where you are coming from. I lost 118 lbs 6 years ago and then my husband of 22 years decided he didn't want to be with me anymore. It is hard to stay focussed! I started running for stress relief and that helped keep me on track and burn any emotional calories I ate. Six years on I am still maintaining and…

A huge mug of coffee in bed on a Sunday morning...

Upper Arms is the worst I would never wear short sleeved anything - ever!!!

Lost 118 lbs 6 six years ago and still maintaining... 5lbs to UGW!!

With only 10 lbs left to lose you should only have a weekly goal of .5 lbs or 250 cal per day deficit. Maybe try this for a couple of weeks and then see how you are feeling / doing?
