  • If you make a particular item a lot, try the Recipe tool. I know it's saved me a ton of time, so give it a shot, see if it works for you.
  • Pan-fried with a little butter mixed with lime juice, then topped with pico de gallo and black pepper. Simple but nomnomnomnom. These other suggestions look great too!
  • Couldn't decide which thread to post to, so random die roll says this one! My internal battle every single day...
  • Heart rate monitor. Healthier food. Black and pink hair dye. Oh, big things? Umm... need enough to get and sustain an apartment. Another option is to have a bunch saved so I can move if I have to relocate for a job.
  • Not only am I a smart@$$, but I'm an awkward smart@$$. By 'awkward' I mean I have bad timing and often don't know when or how to shut up. I also ramble. Like that. And that. I also tend to dislike profanity filters.
  • Weighing multiple times a day is a recipe for insanity. Trust me. :P Keep in mind some folks only step on a scale once a week and they're losing weight. The number changes throughout the day - food intake/expulsion, water weight, wearing/not wearing clothes... Don't fret. If you want to do it daily, just stick with once in…
  • Austin here. First-time MFPer, but here for backup either way!
  • I'm sorry you had to hear that. :( ... that's about the most forum-appropriate thing I can manage to say about that. My rock bottom was suddenly experiencing pre-diabetic symptoms and panicked - I couldn't go to a doctor (I'm broke and don't have insurance), so I started changing the next day. Lost about 30lb by myself…
  • There is most definitely a difference. You look healthier, younger, happier, and yes, smaller too. Keep it up! :)
  • So-so, I'm making improvements over time. I cut back on soda and chips, but I haven't given them up completely. I eat as healthy as I can within my budget (and I mean my $$$ budget, not my calorie budget). I haven't had fast food in ages, so if the opportunity arises, I know I'll be able to hold back or decline it…
  • Lv 17 Mage, with secondary skills in the Ranger class. Hoping I did the math right. ;P
  • Holy crap, this makes Gaga somewhat tolerable. Then of course, theres the infamous Slipknot/Bieber mashup, which is just f'in hilarious... and scary. (I don't even like Slipknot OR Bieber, but it's entertaining as hell.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kspPE9E1yGM
  • Abso-freaking-lutely. I guess people have never heard of the "personal bubble." I hate people touching me, so if that'd happened to me they'd have received an eyeful of my fist. This happened at work? Tell HR, that's definitely crossing a boundary.
  • My grammar isn't 100%, but at least my spelling is passable. The only time I short-cut or text-speak is when I'm being a smartypants. When chatting or texting, I type out all my words - it's simply how I roll. Other than that, I just make sure I write/speak in a way that's understandable.
  • We're both gamers and have been married for 11 years. We actually didn't meet through games, we wanted to start a band together. ;P Then Final Fantasy happened... that's when we really bond over a game. Never dated a gamer besides him.
  • I never got high enough level to do raiding, so it never was an issue. I generally stick with questing/dungeons, something where people won't get pissed at me for bailing on out of nowhere. I really like MMOs, but I don't have a lot of time for them because of school, work and family responsibilities. I save gaming for the…
  • Sorry, but the idea of peanut butter + bacon makes me iffy. I love bacon in various forms, and I love peanut butter, but I'm hesitant on this one. EDIT: And there's the whole "bacon grease" thing. *shudder* No thanks.
  • I'm in a surprisingly good mood. It's my "watch drama unfold" snack - most go for popcorn, but that stuff gets stuck in my teeth.

  • I figure out what I want to eat and do a rough estimate of what the cals will be for my serving. I make it, log it officially, then eat. Over time I've gotten pretty close in my estimates. I haven't gone over my limit yet!
  • Minus the tats, you remind me an awful lot of my husband. Even the chin scruff. 0.o That said, you look great!
  • My pants are looser. More loose. Whichever one is the correct grammar version. /happydance
  • The very first was Drew Barrymore when I was a young teen. Then Ally Sheedy, Rogue from X-men (because of my hair style), Xena (Lucy Lawless), and Julia Stiles. One person told me Angelina Jolie, and I straight up told them they were smoking crack - ZERO resemblance. IMO, I vaguely resemble Donna Pinciatti (Laura Prepon),…
  • *raises hand* We're a gaming family, actually. My son's 8 and his faves are Sonic, Pac-Man and Halo (he recently beat Halo: CE for the first time). Here's my list: Final Fantasy series (the old stuff, and nothing after 10, sorry) GTA 4 Red Dead Redemption Halo series F.E.A.R. Resident Evil (again, the older stuff) Silent…
  • Not sure what shape I'd qualify as (pear? orange?), but it started with my limbs and it's working its way toward the center of the body, maybe. I think. My forearms are much more defined, I see little bits of shoulder muscle, and I just recently noticed less flub around my ribs.
  • In no particular order: 1.) Mozzarella sticks. With tons of marinara. Sodium be damned! 2.) Cherry 7-up. It's been one of my favorites since I was a wee one. 3.) Carl's Jr. Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Extra sauce. Come to mama! 4.) Steak enchiladas with rice, beans, sour cream, pico de gallo (which I make my own…
  • That's one of the most awesome compliments EVER. Then again I have a warped sense of humor. Congrats to you for your progress, and congrats to him for noticing. :)
  • I don't care either way. If they have the guts to post, kudos to them, they're ballsier than I am. Me, personally, (as in what I would do, not what I think someone else should do) I'd stick with flattering clothing as opposed to bikini shots. I'm just not as showy about my body, never have been. I will not tell someone…
