In for eating all the sugar and drinking all the alcohol!

Has anyone tried apple butter? I haven't, but some of the other suggestions made me think of it.

Thanks for that! I agree. I am finally getting back into my regular sport, rock climbing, three times a week. I was out with an injury for six weeks. Between that and losing a considerable amount of weight before, during and since, I managed to lose a lot of muscle. Once I've been back on the walls for a few more weeks the…

I has a sad. Someone peed on my rock. And punched my rock. So I has a two times sad. Mean punching and peeing people around here. Hrumffphs.
-
The question was why did you punch a rock wall????
-
That's one healthy serving of nope. But I could go for the knees then run like hell! Next person, I'll save you the trouble... Unless you're about 12 and only weigh 70 pounds, yeah, you can totally kick my *kitten*. :frown:

According to your profile, you're still in high school. Talk to your parents. Go see a doctor.

If I ever get to maintenance, I'll commiserate. I've been trying to hit maintenance for two months, but keep losing. Now officially down to the "underweight" category. Yeah, when I fantasized about this before it looked a lot less bony and more like some uber-hot Victoria's Secret runway show. Now? Pretty much just looks…

Ooooh, oooh... I wanna iPhone 5s and designer jeans and a trip to France and a pair of diamond earrings and a puppy and a spa day and new hardwood floors and world peace and a PONY!!!!!!!!! Failing that, I'll settle with a pound of lean muscle. Eh, whatever works, right? :blushing:
-
Yep, this. If you really want it, just make room for it in your calories and eat it. (edited for typo)

^^ This. "No thank you" and walk away. There's free candy and leftovers from luncheons and breakfasts all the time at my office, but I just ignore it. It's a simple matter of wanting to lose weight/maintain weight/be healthy more than wanting a free donut. Ask yourself how you're going to feel *after* you eat whatever it…

Either plan ahead for the weekend calories and save up for them, or cut out the high cal weekend food. I'm not being dismissive, it just seems like a pretty simple equation. If I want to go over my calories tomorrow and not gain, I either have to save today or cut back the day after tomorrow.

Damn... $2.75 each (average) x 3/day x 30 days/month (again, average) = $247.50 every month on Quest bars. That's almost as much as I spend on wine every month. Your dedication to protein bars impresses me. As does my dedication to wine. Carry on........... :drinker:

Well, depending on how tall you are, at 111 pounds you may well be in the 1300-1400 calorie maintenance range. I'm 5'1" and at 99 pounds MFP tells me that my maintenance is at 1320 for sedentary. The curse of being short and light is that unless you're also moving a lot you just don't get to eat much. Yep, it sucks.

kordell70, I totally disagree. I think just about everyone would read the ad to mean that "real women" are size 16-36, and I think that's exactly what the merchant was aiming for.
-
In for, well, just...
-
Sweet, the million and first thread on the topic! Do I win? I would love to eat what I want when I want at all times, but I'm so short and weigh so little that my maintenance calories (1320/day - no kidding) don't allow for much wiggle room. Guess that means I should run and climb more!
-
Okay, so was she 36-24-36 or was she 35-22-35? Or something else? I see the Marilyn Monroe example a lot, and it's pretty inconsistent.
-
Do you need a new BFF????
-
No worries. I'm just a smarta$$! :drinker:
-
You say that you don't drink every day like drinking every day is a bad thing. Now I has the sad. :frown:
-
99 feels comfortable. Boo! Now I'm extra scary!
-
I ate it
-
I am by no means trying to start a fight here, but a size 12 in those days was a lot smaller than a size 12 is today.
-
5'1" and 99 pounds, which I think is perfectly fine. 21% BF, which I'm working on lowering.
-
I'll be strong enough when I can climb 5.12.

Thanks for the link! Good stuff!

I have to agree with the folks saying that it's probably the word "cheat" that riles some people up. I never thought of it that way, because I don't think of it as cheating in the true sense of that word. I'm staying at or under my calories for the week, I still log everything, and when in doubt, always over estimate food…
-
For a cheat meal or treat, if I take one bite and don't think "OMG this is SOOOO worth it", I don't eat it. That's the only time I regret eating anything, when it wasn't worth the calories. Life's short, don't eat food you don't like.

Bump to see how everyone is doing. I'm still losing, but losing less. You?
