The post which Norghost has writting is exactly on the ball, it's all about energy in/engery out. Eating better quality foods and looking to change your ratio's of carbohydrates, protein and fats changes how you feel after eating those calories! I'd highly recomend everyone to try changing the ratio's to see which fits you…

I use solid cast iron, although i'm on a standard 1" barbell (rated up to 150kg/300lbs). When i move onto an olymbpic bar i'll probably get the tri-grip rubber coated ones, just for eas of carrying/storage! Simon

Simple answer..... yes... I know alot of people dont, but why starve yourself... when i work out intensely i am ravernous after, so might aswell enjoy what i've earnt and still loose, also by 'fueling' your workouts, rather than stuffing afterwards (i.e using up some of your proposed 'burn' beforehand you will perform…

I started 5x5 about 5 weeks ago....and i emplor you to start with an empty bar! it teaches you propper form and progressively works up... it gets hard enough soon so dont be too keen to jump into a high weight!. I would also recomend looking up Mark Riptoe's Starting Strength, the DVD which you can get (i think the video's…

Hi, Can you open your diary please so we can take a peek!... there's alot more options than just zig zagging calories (although this does work for some people).... all you really need to do is change it up a bit... change your macro's (maybe more protein than carbs), change your workout (maybe weight training over cadio)…

If it sounds to good to be true, than chances are that it is!... Wouldn't waste your money on it!

Aas the person said above, it could be water weight if your lifting sufficent weight when working out to retain water... or given that you've been at it for 3 weeks and loosing and now on the 4th you've gained is it your TOTM? (as a guy i really should not be the one asking you that!).... Also the scales can go up, down,…

If you search for this topic someone put up a really good post about it... basically the energy used during strength trining (as in real lifting, not crossfit style) is not areobic... your heartreight may spike hugely, but you aren't panting like there's no tomorow... When i was doing P90x i used a HRM and it seemed to…

5x5 stronglifts is a good app... if you want to autotrack your progress and progression through stronglifts 5x5?

Hi! Kingston upon Thames (London/Surrey) here! Feel free to add me... i've just reached the end of my loss, and now moving onward and upward... all in lost around 90lbs (both on/off MFP) Simon x

If you want your body to be at its ideal water weight, than simply drink your 8 glasses a day... if your dehyrdated you'll actuall retain water!... I agree with tigersworld... the scales are BS, mine say im 54% even though i drink LOTS of water...

I've racked up up to 900+ kcal on a 60 minute dive before... That included kitting up, getting in, a 60min dive out again and de-kitting, although this was drysuit and in the UK, although fairly shallow at max depth 35m....hope that helps! (the dry suit was the reason i could use a HRM) . Even eating back all the calories…

This!... i started at 1400, then net, then 1600, then 1700, then 1800, and at the minute im on 1850net... and i've never stopped loosing!.... You dont just have to switch up the amount (net) you eat though... you can change your work out routines, marco's lots of things...
-
Or the most obvious two that i see... not eating enough or not being consistant.... (how can you expect consistant results without consistant effort... the number of yo yo diaries you see on here is shocking)
-
One of my faveroute sayings is "it doesnt matter what you eat between Christmas and New Years, its what you eat between New Years and Christmas that counts!"
-
Core Synergistics is one of my faveroute P90x DVD's... dont ask me why, its fun and over before you know it!
-
I also know exactly what you mean! It also annoys me when people start spouting things that you 'should' do when it clearly isn't working for them! or when you say that it's simple, "work out how many calories you need to live, cut down from that, exercise and eat back your exercise calories they look as though your taking…

I can only speak from personal experiance, but i set my diary to sedentry and then add back everything i do with the exeption of cleaning and gardening, where i only add in 50% of the time expended... everything else i add in and use a HRM for everything except swimming where i use a poolmate tracker... I eat ALL of my…
