  • I try not to aim for a specific time because I don't feel I'm completely in charge of how quickly I lose weight, I'm just glad that I lose it and I'm in it for the long term. But when I've gotten to my goal weight I will be getting a breast reduction and lift which I'm really excited about and is a great motivator :-)
  • WOW, amazing work! Well done!!! I am rewarding myself with a breast reduction and lift when I get to goal weight :-) Congratulations!
  • I discovered I was 79 kilos and was desperate not to reach 80. So I gave a half-a***d attempt at losing weight then came across MFP and realised it actually WAS possible to lose weight and finally started taking it seriously!!
  • Just over a year and we've been married 2.5 years now. We still wouldn't be married now but immigration restrictions meant tying the knot prematurely or ending our relationship, so I'm very happy we took that step!
  • Hi! I'm from Brighton. LOVE MFP, I'm okay with the US measurements but I find I hardly understand the kinds of food people are discussing- I assume mostly American?! Feel free to add me :-)
  • This post has made me really angry. And from what I can see, the lucky OP who's strong enough to "suck it up" hasn't replied.... I workout 10+ times a week, every week but when it's my TOM I suddenly lose every bit of energy and if I did anything high impact I would simply faint and pass out. Obviously I am not going to…
  • For my mental health- it makes me feel great and definitely alleviates depression. To get fit and challenge myself. I love it.
  • I think change it to what suits you. I've just changed mine to 40 (protein), 40 (carbs) and 20 (fat) and I've been 'in the green' since ;-)

  • There are a lot of goal weights in the 120's. I think I would look horrible at that weight. My CW is 150 and I really just need to tone up now so hopefully I can reach 140 but I don't think I could go any lower- I'll never have a slim build- I'm such a 'big' person even when I'm skinny, if that makes sense!!
  • Thanks guys, I had no idea you could do that. I've changed mine to 40-30-30 based on recommendations online so this'll give me something new to aim for and seems very realistic :-)
  • you look amazing! Well done!
  • I go after work weekdays at 4 for an hour and at weekends either at 7am or 8pm (just because it's free parking then!). I always go alone and to be honest, I wonder how the girls who go together get much of a workout at all because they seem to spend all the time chatting and you can see, as soon as one starts talking, they…

  • Sennheiser are a great quality earphone. Great sound quality and I have the orange ones that wrap around your ears, they never fall out :-) And I've had them for years (used everyday) which is really good considering the average life-span or earphones!

  • Thanks for your replies :-) I've opened my diary now. But I don't want to hear that I don't eat enough!! I feel so proud of myself when I achieve new things in exercise and when I'm under my calorie goal and eating as healthily as possible. Probably I should be just as proud with smaller changes, since I am already a…
  • Definitely. I don't think I need to plan when I'm going to cheat. I do that when I really want to, when there's a celebration, special occasion or I just want to (which luckily is less than once a week).... If I planned it, I would feel compelled to eat bad food when I probably could have eaten good stuff.
  • Stopped shying away from the free weights at the gym and gave lunges a go. Okay, I have since come home and checked on Youtube how to actually do them properly but this will become a new part of my routine for sure!! I'm an idiot for thinking the free weight area in front of the huge mirrors were reserved only for the…
  • i am the same- can't do it at all, so I avoid it like the plague. But that's not good either because when you restrict yourself so much you start to crave it more. I'm okay all the time I'm busy and when I get home I never have the flat to myself so I can't have any sneaky junk food but I dread being alone now :-s Would…

  • I love yoga soooo much! I am very fortunate in that my work place give free lunch time sessions but I can only make 2 of these a week. I also practice it at home with a fantastic app I downloaded (All-in-yoga). I'm not sure of the benefits of doing yoga alone but I find it REALLY compliments my more physical exercise- I am…
  • Today my goals are just to get in another set of sit ups and continue with HIIT at the gym. More importantly THIS WEEKEND, I'm desperate not to fall of the wagon for once! This means logging EVERYTHING, getting some exercise in and definitely NOT drinking more than 2 drinks!
  • When I used to sit down, I used to have to pull my top out after it got stuck in my spare tires! Now I don't have any tyres!!! :-D
  • Well I go to the gym everyday and do Zumba but my FAVE exercise (even though I wouldn't really call it exercise) is Yoga :-) I love it, absolutely addicted!!
