Tuna and pesto work well together too.

Obviously this one is for some of more higher calorie eaters...as a pizza topping with tomato paste, canned tuna, sliced red onion, dollops of pesto and mozzarella. SERIOUSLY GOOD.

Thank you to everyone for replying. It's fantastic to find other people who know what it feels like to lose and then regain. It's such a challenge and it's fantastic to hear about everyone else's experiences...really puts it all in perspective and also gives me other ways of thinking about things (instead of being miss…

Good to see you've embraced the baldness and gone for the shaved head option. Way sexier than a comb over! Congrats on your weight loss too...losing 70lbs is fantastic!

I disagree. You can't lose fat cells without surgery (they just shrink), but you can most definitely gain them. A lean adult has about 40 billion fat cells, an obese one at least two to three times that number. When a fat cell grows it will reach a size limit...it then sends out a signal to nearby immature cells to start…

I'm not vegetarian or a vegan, but I do eat loads of veggies, plus eating at least 2-3 dinners a week with no meat. Basically I pick a vegetable for dinner, then find an awesome recipe that dominates with that vegetable. Sometimes with meat, sometimes without. And a few of my favourite vegetable recipes, coz I love to…

The big question is...does organic food turn people into jerks or do jerks buy organic food? *full disclosure - I am one of those organic buying jerks*

Would recommend you make something in individual portions (like cupcakes or something made in individual pots like panna cotta)...it's easier then to control calories and not indulge in extra slices!

To greek yoghurt, add a crushed garlic clove and some fresh mint, coriander...any herb really. Add a little water to make it more sauce like...you can then use it as a dressing on salads. Here's an example...http://aweebitofcooking.co.uk/2011/11/12/leftover-roast-chicken-squash-salad/ You can also add tahini to yoghurt for…

Put it this way...during my marathon training, I remember running from home to work in the morning, and later that day my boss swung by my desk and asked me 'So how far did you run this morning?'. My reply 'I did 22km this morning on my way to work, so just over a half marathon'. I think his jaw hit the ground. And the…

Interesting question...for me, it's a trade off between calories and the impacts of processing. Personally, as I am trying to lose weight, I sway more towards controlling calories at this point so for milk and yoghurt I am buying low fat (but not for cheese). However, in the future, I will probably switch to full fat milk.…

You've lost 55lbs and are turning your life around to being positive and healthy, and he dumps you. WTF. Do not let this derail you. Keep focused on what's really important to you - which is YOU. I would run, quickly, in the opposite direction to this guy.

When a friend of mine who lost 60lbs in about a year, got down to his goal weight in the middle of his BMI, had someone come up to him and ask if he had cancer.

Five years ago, I lost half my body weight, around 140lbs. Since then, my weight has slowly crept back up and I am now 75lbs overweight (was 90lbs, but have lost 15lbs so far since starting MFP in April). How did I let this happen? This is a tough question... Over the five years, I put weight back on due to specific…

Coke is relatively low in sodium compared to other types of drinks BUT I think the sodium content of tap water varies depending on its original source and the stuff the water company may choose to put into it.

Ok that is just weird...I'm having baked chicken, sweet potato and broccoli for dinner tonight! LOL

I'm the opposite...I lose my appetite completely and have to force myself to eat in order to get better. I think it depends on what is actually wrong with you too (loss of appetite is sometimes an actual symptom eg flu).

I think it means different things to different people too. For me, eating clean is about eating food as close to it's natural state, nothing processed or artificial, and preferably organic (growth hormones in meat erghhh). If I don't know what an ingredient is, then I don't eat it basically. I probably manage to achieve…

I bought my hubby a Philips Wake Up Light for Christmas (http://www.philips.co.uk/c/light-therapy/usb-playback-and-dusk-simulation-hf3485_01/prd/) because he struggles with waking up in the middle of the grim UK winters. The surprising thing for me was that I really respond well to the dusk simulator - which is basically…

My cheeky monkey is a cocker spaniel and poodle cross. He's an absolute sweetie and the highlight of my day is taking him for walks. (hope this works, first time posting to this MFP)

Could you talk to them about it and come up with a solution that would work without offending them? Maybe you broach the subject from a 'I need your help' perspective...it's usually pretty hard for a parent to say no to their child when you have a heart to heart and really ask them for their help. The end result could be…

For me, eating clean means removing all nasty chemicals and eating organic as much as possible, with nothing artificial or processed whatsoever - keeping it as close to the original product. So loads of veggies, fruit, organic meat, good fats and organic diary (low fat where possible). If there is something listed in the…
