  • Be sure you are monitoring your protein. In order to build muscle, or at least lose fat and NOT muscle, you should consume 70% of your weight in grams of protein per day. so, if you weight 150lbs, you should be getting at least 105 grams of protein a day. for most people, that's very difficult to do on meat and eggs alone,…
  • 1200 calories is a minimum! if you are working out and strength training, be sure you are eating at least 1400 calories or your body will use muscle for energy. Also, have you had your body fat % checked? If you are strength training and not losing, perhaps you are building muscle. You can lost fat & gain muscle, which is…
  • My nutritionist recommended no sugar for 2 weeks for me. I went 6 days without added sugar (that doesn't include sugar in whole wheat/grains or fruit, but extra sugar as in processed foods, sweets, granola bars, cereal, etc.). I couldn't believe how less hungry I was during the day without the sugar, which obviously just…

  • Start a small goal... 105 is a long ways off.. unfortunately! Tell yourself you'll treat yourself to a manicure or new makeup or something when you've reached 5 pounds. What's one thing you can cut out this week? is it a bed time snack or a mid-afternoon snack? What's one thing you can replace throughout the day with…
  • Please add me to the wait list if possible. I need this type of motivation! Thanks! This idea sounds awesome!

  • 40, 5'5 I was 235 my entire adult life. after my 2nd child, 6 years ago, I lost 75 lbs and total weight loss from post pregnancy was over 100. I got down to 160 but almost immediately gained 20 back and have been stuck here for the last 4 years. I can relate to anyone that have been 220+ all their life... It's still a…
  • You can friend me :) I've been at the same weight for the last 4 years, trying to lose and every few weeks, I fall off track and gain back the few I lost. this time, with the support of MFP, I am determined!

  • I have just started drinking spinach shakes every morning. they fill me up just as much as protein from eggs or egg beaters would! They run about 250-300 calories and are made from all natural products... no company pushing "their" shake. here's my recipe: 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (you can use skim milk, but I save…

  • I have had the same struggles with lack of consistency on tracking! Supporting one another is a key to success! Feel free to add me! We can work on it together!
  • Check out www.emilybites.com I found some really fun, low cal recipes for my family, including my kids... like mac n cheese cupcakes and taco cupcakes. try changing out the ground beef to ground turkey. On a budget is tough though... healthy food is more expensive, but so worth it! Hungry Girl has awesome 100 calorie…

  • Have you tried Wildtree Products? They are all natural, MSG free, low sodium (60MG sodium). I love their stuff... I can make virtually calorie free, sugar free spaghetti sauce too :)
  • I am in Neenah and work out in the evenings in my home. I enjoy most running and biking outside and consider my self, unfortunately, a "spring/summer" runner. But we can still help motivate each other to keep moving every day! If you decide to sign up for any 5K's in the area, let me know!
