Generally, you'd want to cut till you were at or at least close to your desired weight, and then you begin bulking. That being said and in my opinion, bulking is only worth it if you have a solid weight lifting routine. Not sure what you are doing but whenever I'm in my bulking cycle, I see satisfying results.

I stick to macros so I have to eat fruit under severe moderation so I don't have all my carb allowances in one snack.
-
Aww, you can do better then that
-
See I used to think this, but that doesn't explain why 2 minutes later, I'm pushing at 100% on the next lift going from flat bench to incline bench.
-
Gotcha. I thought I remember reading that if you body didn't need any more of a particular one, it could chemically alter it to something it did need. Can't find it again so I'll write that one off as broscience

Question to those biochemist's out there. If Aspartame is comprised of two amino acids and I know amino acids, at least some of them, are capable of changing into other amino acids if there's a surplus/deficiency... Could you theoretically take Aspartame as a protein supplement for bulking?

That does make sense. However, I run into this all the time even in between exerciese. For example, I'll start on flat bench with this occurring on the last set. I'll move over to my db incline, and I can lift as normal not 2 minutes later. If all my energy was depleting, I shouldn't be able to go hard on subsequent…

All I thought about was how much more fun sex was going to be with my already healthy beautiful wife.

There is no magic weight loss pill. Weight loss will only come from the willpower to maintain a caloric deficit. Lifting weights and performing cardio routines should be the only addition to this strategy... (IMO)

Lifting for 12 years with 6/7 of them being a middle/highschool twerp that focused on nothing but biceps, bench press, abs and leg press will do that... dropping a few hundred a month into supps didn't hurt either (which I would NEVER recommend!) I digress... How am I able to lift that, but when I drop 60lbs, I can't do…

I don't understand it but this happens to me to. I'll go through few sets just fine and i'll hit this point where my body just says it will not lift ANYTHING further. Happens in every muscle group at the strangest times. Last night I was on back/bi and I was finishing up. Started on 155 on BB curls: 155*5, 135*5, 115*8,…

Woah there, never say words like that again!
-
Weight should always be set to the highest level that can be done while maintaining proper form. If you're squatting and compromising form, lower the weight and the muscle groups will gain/balance in time.
-
Um, it's not really that necessary. If you wanted to though, I'd recommend some Chocolate Casein protein with some milk.
-
I'd reconsider stronglifts. You won't be doing isolation lifts with it, just day A and B with optional cardio whenever you feel the need. It's a great program, probably one of the best for beginner/intermediate. Isolation lifting isn't worth it unless you are looking for a bodybuilding physique.

I'd strongly recommend googling a few good recommended (splits) and give them a try for a few weeks and see how you feel. Everyone reacts differently and some people just work better at certain splits then others. Just food for thought, unless medically necessary, I wouldn't worry about sodium to much, and sugar is nothing…

Considering that soda is almost entirely water, you're probably good.

I feel like that picture should have Hogwarts on it?
-
If there are zero calories in it, where would the weight gain come from? I don't understand how the whole diet soda good/bad is a debate to begin with.
-
I'm not entirely certain why, but when I started doing this, my bench took off. My previous 1rm was 205, after a few workouts where I did this, I was able to just keep adding to it.

The medical lifting book I've been reading says to narrow your grip and keep your elbows relatively tucked into your body.

My brother is 11 years older then I, and hit 455 a few months back and hasn't let me forget since... I will will not let him bench more for long!
