  • Wow, The Hunger Games? That's pretty intense LOL Mine would be Eat, Pray, Love (trying to figure out away to travel thought)
  • I say take in to account how you feel that day. Sometimes we need a little more and sometimes we need a little less. Every person is different and everyday is unique. If you find yourself exceptionally hungry on Tuesday and satisfied on Wednesday don't force yourself one way or the other. Good luck to you with JMBR.
  • Thigh gap isn't a measure of health or fitness, and shouldn't be considered a weight loss "goal." It's not attainable for all body types and many people would say it's a characteristic of anorexic bodies. It's one thing to want smaller thighs but lots of people who post here about "thigh gap" are already skinny and seem to…
  • Thank you so much AmyBoogie, I really do appreciate the genuine help. The print outs will be exceptionally useful.
  • I tend to be a class joiner, but that has proven to be difficult lately with my schedule. I have a few dvds to follow at home and a couple of books. I find that even though I am a reader, books for physical activities don't really work for me. I do much better with verbal instructions and physical cues. I do wonder for…
  • Tonight is a higher calorie night with a veggie pizza. But last night was baked lemon pepper chicken with sauteed kale and smashed pineapple/orange sweet potatoes.
  • I "re-started" on Monday this week also. I'm not following the food plan this time around, I think trying to commit to both the diet and the workout regimen at the same time really threw me. And when the diet was "flubbed" I fell into a shame spiral. So I'm focusing on logging my meals here and now my husband is helping me…
  • Great Job "kicking your habit" :drinker: I say stash away the exact amount you would have spent each month last year on McDonald's and when June comes around splurge on something nice/fun for yourself (clothes, vacation, etc)
  • Great job taking control of the situation! Way to go! Stretch and drink plenty of water today.
  • ^^^This^^^ If you can take the kiddos to the park and play tag with them or ride bikes with them for 20 or 30 minutes. Something, anything, is better than nothing. And I full on agree with veggies, veggie, veggies. Steam some broccoli, cabbage, carrots, and snow peas and toss them with lemon juice a little lemon zest and…
  • You're amazing! I too have a higher goal than most here (according to BMI, blah blah blah) I have been where I want to be before so I know what I looked good at. So glad to see success stories of all kinds.
  • ^^^This^^^ I have nearly as much weight to lose, but yoga is amazing. Personally I prefer classes to dvds that way an instructor can help me make any necessary physical adjustments if I happen to not be in a pose correctly. If you are really shy the back of the room allows for some "privacy" but the instructor can still…
  • Bump for re-reading whenever necessary
  • I'll notice some discomfort in my low back when I'm not paying attention to my form or trying to muscle through certain moves rather than using my core properly. Do you think may be your form could use some more attention? Hope you feel better soon.
  • How is everyone doing? Sorry I've been quite, I was traveling for work this week. The traveling makes it really hard to stick with the meal plan. It's hard to plan, cook, and "brown bag it" when you're living out of a hotel room few amenities. But i survived. I think I will do the 7 Day Jump Start next week and do some…
  • I'm 5' 6 3/4" with 60 to lose
  • I would say I maybe do about 80% of the hosehold chores. Dear hubby takes care of the lawn and the garbage/recycling. Anything else from him is kind of gravy so when it happens I let him know just how grateful I am for the help.
  • I have fiddled around with eating vegetarian (I'm Texan and it's hard to let go of Brisket :blushing: ) But I guess ultimately it all depends on what type of vegetarian you are. Do you find that you eat a lot of pre-packed/processed foods, just because they don't contain meat? (chips, crackers, cookies, sodas, too many…
  • ^^^I have done this less than a handful of times, but nothing that could be considered a habit. Mostly if I know I'm not ravenous and I can wait until I get my hands on something actually worth the calories.
  • Try the C25K program (that stands for couch to 5K) it's pretty neat, you download the app on your phone or iPod and progresses you from walking to jogging of the course of weeks. Then once you're able to actually run the 5k you can work on improving your time. Good Luck
  • ^^^This^^^ I LOVE veggies and fruits and whole grains the whole kit-and-caboodle. I found that I love yoga, but all other forms of exercise and just because I feel better afterwards. But believe me it takes a lot of mental pushing to get up and go.
  • It all depends, you will really have to do the research in your area. Here the smaller Farmer's Markets tend to be less expensive because they are full of more like large scale gardeners rather than farmers who make their living from the land. So you may go to pick up a $3 dozen free-range organic chicken eggs and that…
  • Texan all over, raised in Killeen, finished high school in El Paso, college in San Marcos, and now living in Austin. :drinker:
  • True Blood  , Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt and Almonds, Water, and digging old cds out of my closet.
  • I Love Yoga, It's the only thing I actually like that I can get a sweat, get stretched really well, get relaxed, and feel really centered emotionally and mentally. Also, when I practice more regualrly (at least 3 times a week) I feel more naturally compeled to eat cleaner. My body doesn't like being bent and twisted when…
  • Get the tattoo I have held in my head for 4 yrs now Buy a TON of new clothes (I am yet another who refuses to shop because I hate my size) Wear sexy thigh high stockings Get new heels (I LOVE shoes, but the heels are not my friends anymore currently) Have sex with the lights on with the mirrors pointing in my direction in…
  • ^^^^These exactly, oh and crackers. I love cheese and crackers with a good salami, peperoni, or even hot link. But then I learned that's a no no if I want success. (or at least not the way I used to eat it)
  • Every person is different, with that said if you are not having a "movement" at least once a day then you may want to reevaluate the amount of "binding" foods you eat. Bump up your fruit and veggie consumption, maybe pull back some on the dairy (or dare I say it meat) and you may feel "loads" better. Also, be…
