I have a little chocolate everyday... I prefer dark chocolate which has got good-for-you anti-oxidants in it. The trick is serving size (Dark chocolate tends only to come in large bars.) 1 Tablespoon of semi-sweet or bitter-sweet chocolate chips is usually pretty easy to fit into the daily calories, As is a square or two…

Will 10 lbs make a difference in who loves you? Will 10 lbs make a difference in your physical capabilites? Will 10 lbs make a difference in your career? Is "that last 10 lbs" worth the what you have to go through to attain and maintain it? Maybe it is to you? I'm here to figure out how to live my best life. I don't want…

Nope, not in your ticker. At the top of the page In the light blue bar click MY HOME then in the dark blue bar under it click GOALS then Click on the Green button that says CHANGE GOALS Select GUIDED then Click on the Green button that says CONTINUE Enter your GOAL WEIGHT where it says Current weight Select MAINTAIN MY…

The good news is you don't have to be perfect, you just have to be better. Small sustainable changes. When inspirations strikes people revamp their whole lives. The only problem being is when stress comes along (and it always does), we revert to comfortable familiar behaviors. Change a couple of small things until they…

I just found this one, it's not as pretty, but it specifies what each wedges fitness goals are (fat burn vs. endurance, etc.) Looks like you are right at the top edge of the range for weight control PERFECT!

Ha! that's what I thought until I got injured and could not walk back and forth to work... Amazing how quickly the pounds piled up.

I got a little pedometer that will also show my heart rate. As long as your heart rate is in the right range for your fitness goals and your age, you're on your way...

I know I tend to over cook chicken because I really want to make sure it's done all the way through. How about poaching it wine...? I'd bet it would help keep it moist even if you miss the mark a little on your timing. (I myself am allergic to wine, so I must live vicariously through you!)

You are a perfectly healthy weight. Really no reason for health concerns due to your weight here. It's fine if you want to lose a few vanity pound and get down to 120. Just don't jeopardize your health for it. I've know too many people who have ratcheted themselves up into a weight problem, by losing more weight than they…

Ah ha! thanks to Vanity Sizing size 14 was not a big deal for me, because back in 1977 when I weighed 125-130 lbs I wore a size 14... but the sizes kept creeping larger and large at the same rate that I kept creeping larger and larger. I got down to a 2012 size 6, but had 1977 size 14s in my closet that still didn't fit.

With 3 stick-thin sisters, I felt overweight as young as 5 y.o. I lost a bunch of weight when I was 14 y.o kept it off for 25 years. Then after an accident, my activity level dropped sharply... as I put on weight I didn't feel any different... so I didn't worry. All the things I couldn't do any more I attributed to being…

Maybe it's a matter of semantics? Maybe it's his way of saying he loves you regardless of your size and don't stress TOO much over your fitness goals, because it's more important for you to be happy than it is to be skinny. Maybe he feels a little insecure over his fitness level and is worried about having to keep up with…

I'd keep away from the diet soda, it just make me feel so yukky. It really has no benefits, where wine in a moderate dose does.

I've just discovered FARINA! It keeps me full forever! I'll do 3 tbls in a cup of water sometimes I take and american cheese slice and stir it in until it's all melted. Oh so yummy and keeps me going for a long while.

^this... "so much to lose!" What do you think you have to lose? 30 or 40 or 50 or 100 lbs? Guess what you don't you only have 1 pound to lose and that's the next one. A friend of mine go tired of hearing me whine about my weight losing 50 pounds seems overwhelming to me. She said... just lose the first 5 and I did then.…

WOW, 9 lbs is a lot for your 1st week. the second week seems like a more reasonable expectation. Mostly I think this LOW-CARB thing is just an overreaction to the LOW-FAT thing. When everyone was eliminating fat they replace it with carbs... So now carbs are the enemy... Now let's see our macros are: CARBS - FAT - PROTEINS…
-
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear... why are you doing this to yourself???? Okay, let's review our macros: CARBS - FAT - PROTEINS Now, all food fall's into at least 1 of those 3 categories, many foods are a combination of at least 2 of these categories. You are going to have a really hard time if you severely restrict any one…

Okay, A couple of questions... what option have you chosen under goals? Lose 2 lbs a week? 1lb/wk? 1/2 lb/wk? (MFP will never give you less than 1200 cal a day and in most cases (probably yours, too) this is a very good thing.) So if you are assigned exactly 1200 calories... it probably means that you're expected weight…
-
I don't think there are MFP pre-sets for specific diet plans, but you can read up on a few plans, decide on what will work best for you then once you understand the underlining theory go to GOAL and click CUSTOM and manually reset according to whatever eating plan you're choosing to follow. GOOD LUCK! -B

I tracked for a couple of weeks before I focused on losing... because I wanted to see the good, the bad and the ugly of it all. I wanted to see where I REALLY stood. So I could accurately adjust. It' didn't seem thaaaaaat bad to me... 1700-1800 calories. Certainly not the recommended 2000 cal. on the nutritional facts. How…

No, no, that's just the by-product.. they just add a ton more sweeteners to foods that were previously healthy foods, because sugars and artificial sweeteners increase your appetite. You eat more, they sell more. It's the more you get, the more you want cycle. For all parties concerned.

Let's see am I going to believe a Princeton University Study (http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S26/91/22K07/) that says: "...as a result of the manufacturing process for high-fructose corn syrup, the fructose molecules in the sweetener are free and unbound, ready for absorption and utilization. In contrast, every…
