  • I've been having the same symptoms. Winter, snow, cold, dark, cabine feever. I just loked at my fitness report for the last month. Wow! I excercised 1 time in 2 weeks. I usually go to the basement to workout right after work, everyday. But for the past 2 weeks I've been so tired and unmotivated. I feel your pain SherryRH…
  • Captain Morgan only has 60 calories per ounce. I usually have 1 or 2 a week just to unwind after a hard day. 2 ounces in a cocktail glass with some diet coke and ice and I have the perfect end of day 120 calorie relaxer. As always, watch your intake and add the calories to your daily amount consumed.
  • OH YEAH! We had this tonight and it was awesome:tongue: The only twist we put on it was using a hot sauce called "mad butcher" (Hy-Vee stores in Iowa) and we shredded the chicken then put it over rice. It was fantastic. Have some left and can't wait for leftovers.:smooched::smooched:
  • True, I'm originally from Louisiana. OK, the person below me has a low calorie super bowl snack menu ready.
  • My wife and I did this last year for 5 months and had great results. The summer and holidays made us realize we needed this site again as we fell into old habits, so, we're back on track and using this site again. Hope to have some good news in the weeks to come. That cute little girl in my ticker is my granddaughter.…
  • Yes, this site is great! If you follow a calorie counting diet and get regular excercise you WILL loose weight. Good luck to you and take it a day at a time a pound at a time.
  • Just wanted to brag. My wife and I have been using this site since January 1st. Excercise and diet are the most important aspects of our lives right now. I have lost 25 lbs and she has lost 23 lbs. We are never hungry, we eat 5 times a day, we excercise every night after work and before dinner and we even have been…
  • I've had mine (a Proform $360) for about a year. It's not really as much squeeky as it is cluncky. Not bad cluncky, just annoying cluncky. I use it about 4 hours a week. It had good reviews for the price range and is a decent machine. I believe, as with any fitness machine, the more you pay the better constructed the…
  • You guys are funny. These are good goals and mighty fine rewards. It goes to show you that each of us have a different type of "reward" in mind. I have tattoos so that's out, I have those "skinny" clothes to get back into so a new wardrobe is out. I was thinking about rewarding myself by getting my wife new boobs. I can…
  • I drink a minimum of 8 cups (64 oz) every day. Sometimes I get in 10 cups. I also read the article somewhere that stated drink 1/2 your weight in oz's but that's alot. Water keeps you hydrated and it keeps your body flushed of toxins and helps keep your other organs and functions (you know what I mean) in correct working…
  • That happened to us just last night. My brother in-law and his wife called saying they were on their way back home from St. Louis back to Minnesota and wanted to stop in, say hi, and take us to dinner. We alrady had dinner planned, didn't apreciate the short notice, and besides, they wanted to go to Red Robin for a greasy…
  • My wife asked our doctor this question and his advice, to us, was to just watch calories. Unless you have a diabetic or hypertension situation where sugar and sodium would affect your health, just counting calories should be ok. Everybody is different but this works for us.
  • Dubuque Iowa, home of the turkey and dressing sandwich.
  • Hi Brea, and welcome. Oh how sweet, a baby. I love babies. We just had our first grandaughter in July. What great motivation it is for me to want to be here for her. You'll make a beautiful bride, I'm sure of it. Make a plan and stick with it. You're family depends on you. Best of luck from Iowa.
  • Good luck to you. The beach sounds wonderful. I too hope to feel better about taking my shirt off at the pool. Unless.......you're a woman.......sorry, I am assuming. Anyway, just having fun. I lost 2 lbs since starting this on Tuesday. My wife lost 4 lbs. We are having fun counting the cals and working out together every…
  • Yes, cold is not even the right term. Zero here this morning. My wife and I do 30 minutes every evening before we eat. She does the tradmill and I do the eliptical trainer. When it warms up (if it ever does) we plan on walking outside for about 45 minutes in addition to our inside activities.
  • Welcome from Iowa. Lots of friends here to help if you need it. This site seems to have loads of supporting people from all over the country. We wish you the best of luck in your journey. FYI, we had 20 inches of snow here in December.
  • Good luck. I think the people here seem to be really motivated and that inspires us. Good luck to all.
  • Thank you for the warm welcome. Good luck to you in your goals.
  • Thanks for the welcome, fellow Iowan. It's almost exciting to be doing this. I hope to look back in the months to come and see the pounds and inches sliding away on my progress charts. Good luck to you from us in Dubuque.
  • My wife and I joined Dec 30 and started our new lives on Jan 1. Our doctor (we use the same) calls us "husky". Our BMI's say we are obese. Our doctor says counting calories is the best way to loose weight. This sytem is easy and fun when you have a partner to help you cook and keep track. I think this one will work. Wish…
