No matter how much I weigh, I doubt I'd look good in a bikini. I think it's because of the chest hair.

Google is your best friend. If I know what I want to cook, I type it in, and get a ton of recipes. If you are looking for ideas, but don't know what you want, try phrases such as: easy healthy food recipes quick healthy recipes on a budget healthy vegetarian recipes easy chicken recipes healthy crock pot recipes etc. etc.…

I'd say casserole, but that usually uses cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup, so that packs on a few calories. Easy suggestion: Cook the rice. Throw the cut up chicken into a wok with a little bit of olive oil or something. Once the chicken is browned, throw in the broccoli and maybe a quarter cup of water. Add any…

Make sure you have a good bike. Wal Mart doesn't cut it. You can get a decent hybrid, like a Zebrano, which can handle both on and off roads for about $500. Try riding a Wal Mart bike for 5 minutes and then a real bike for 5 minutes. You will immediately see the reason for the price difference. Even a $500 bike will be a…

If I'm not in first place, I at least deserve 2nd. As long as we can agree that short green pointy eared aliens with lightsabers are hot...

Here's my take on the gym. I love my gym, and go religiously. If anyone looks at you judgingly, that's their problem. I personally have lost 60+ pounds in the last year and a half because of my gym. I'm now a biker and runner, and training for my first marathon. BUT I still remember when I started at the gym, and saw a lot…

Mine is open. I do a lot of exercise, but feel free to send a FR and check it out.

Step 1 is talk to your doctor and get advice. Step 2 is to count calories daily and accurately. No guessing. Step 3 is to add in exercise. Even if you are a busy parent, there is always time if you are motivated to do something. For me, sometimes I end up going to my 24-hour gym at 11 pm once the kids are asleep, dishes…

My vote is for vodka and tonic. Of course, drink what you want, as long as you throw in some exercise to compensate.

Anyone hit me up with a Nike+ friends request. It would be fun to get a bunch of people up to do a "challenge". My username on Nike+ is the same as here: thomaszabel And the challenge doesn't have to be extreme. I've done 1 on 1 challenges that are as low as running 20 miles in a month.

Duel me with lightsabers.

No problems with emotional eating. High stress smoking, yes, but working on that issue. I actually find that eating something healthy, like a nice kale/avocado salad actually makes me feel better.

Absolutely amazing. Are you getting in exercise? Even if it is going out for a walk or light jogging or bicycling, at your new weight, you should be able to completely blow away your old physical fitness levels.

I agree with ignoring the trainer's recommendations unless you are training for Mr. Universe competition or wanting to become a professional wrestler in the WWE. But I do have a problem with getting enough protein, or at least as much as MFP calculates. I'm not a vegetarian, but one way I've cut my weight down over the…

My opinion on this is bump.

For me, I exercise a ton. Therefore I'm not as worried about calories. I end up with plenty net cals left after my workouts. But yes, they are high in calories. But some, like peanuts are a good source of protein, which I need after a big workout. So when I make my protein shake every day, I add a couple tablespoons of…

I accept all FRs. The more the merrier.

Everyone please add me. Nike+ name is Thomaszabel . I'm looking to start up some Nike+ Challenges, but only have a couple Nike+ friends. And they are not that active.

I did it over time as I ramped up my workouts. Started in August of last year. As far as working out, I started on a high school track, and walked a lap, jogged a lap, walked a lap, jogged a lap, etc. Did only 4 laps of jogging and 5 of walking the first day, and kept that up for the next 3-4 days. Then I started adding in…

I don't work for my gym, but I'll put in a plug for the one I go to. Anytime Fitness. First, it's open 24/7. Even when the staff isn't there, you can get in with your electronic key. But as relates to this thread, they have these really cool bikes called Expresso bikes. Check them out on Expresso.net or Expresso.com. They…

As far as shin splints, I think that losing weight helped you. I tried to get back into running a year ago at 225 pounds (I'm 5'10" male). It gave me some knee problems, so I eased off and focused on lower impact exercises and controlling my diet. I started again a month ago at approximately 170 pounds, and have had no…

Order the 12". Only eat half of it. Put the other half in the refrigerator at the office. Wait an hour. Are you still hungry? If you're like me, it takes a while for my body to register that I'm full. If I eat until I'm full, it's too late. I've already overeaten. So I eat a smaller amount, and then wait an hour. If I'm…

I give it 2 months. At 14 days, I send them a "You can do it! Come Back!" post. and message At 2 months, with no reply, I drop them. When I first did MFP a long time ago, I did it religiously for a month, and then stopped for about 6 months. Then got back on for a few weeks and dropped it again for more than 6 months. Now…

I just approached it like I approached working out at the beginning. Started small, and worked my way up. Google "Easy fast healthy recipes" or something like that. If you're starting off, a meal that takes 3 hours to cook is a turn-off. Then work your way up from there. I cook all the time now, and only go out to eat a…

I simply didn't care. Why work hard to be in great health when you can smoke a pack of cigs a day, and eat as much processed food as you want? Thank god I changed my mind about a year ago. My first marathon is coming up in 5 and a half months, I am doing about 7 miles of running and 10 miles of biking per day, I don't…

Single Green vertically-challenged Male jedi master in search of Single Green Female. I'm seven hundred years old, but willing to date anyone between 200 and 1000. Height not too important, and neither is religion, but prefer someone who has at least a basic grasp of the Force, can move small objects with mind power, and…

Leave him. If you talk to him, and he says he's sorry, leave him anyway. If he says it's okay, cause he doesn't have any activity, leave him. If he says it's just all fun and games, leave him. Just in case that is confusing, I will summarize: Leave him.

I started out like you. My suggestion is to find a local high school track. Each lap is a quarter mile. My first day of getting into running was: 1 lap walk, 1 lap jog, 1 lap walk, 1 lap jog, 1 lap walk, 1 lap jog, 1 lap walk, 1 lap jog, 1 lap walk. Total of 1 mile jogging, and 1.25 miles walking. Even though I was able to…

"* Eat "clean" foods and cut out soda/candy/etc etc. " Though technically you can lose weight while eating anything as long as you put yourself into a calorie deficit, you really should still try to eat as clean as possible. Heck, I could lose weight only eating from the dollar menu at McDonalds. But if I am on a 1200…

I was about 20 years ago. Does that count?
