Congratulations!!!

I started at 270 lb and 5'4- so I understand-- it takes time and you can do it. I started doing things slowly- modified my diet and walking at first- high protein/lower (but not no) carb works for me. I now work out several times a week and am down about 50 lb. You can do it- I am doing things slowly - no fad diets for…

I make fruit smoothies with Fage Greek 0% fat yogurt, 5 strawberries and a splash (about an 1 ounce) of OJ. Yummy. I also eat light string cheese. When in a hurry at breakfast, I choose the convenience of a slimfast high protein (20 grams protein/4 carb) chocolate shake.

You look great and very professional! WTG!!!

Amazing!!! Very impressed with all of your hard work- especially that it only took you a year to lose 200 lbs!
-
I would like to try this too. I haven't done any challenges yet.

Fantastic!!!!!! WTG!

And this year, my son was looking at the weight limit on trampolines (we were thinking of getting one) and said, "Mom, do you weigh too much to jump on the trampoline." Gee, thanks kiddo. No.

In my high school, I was on the track team. I was never the star or anything but I was not bad either- just middle of the pack. When we first started, the coach (who looked more like a female santa claus with her huge belly) pulled me aside to see if I really was in track for the right reason b/c she thought that I was…

It may have been the combination of the fat (assuming you had fried chicken in the wrap) with the carbs that probably did you in-- you have to look at the combinations of food too. Tortillas are high in carbs - can you avoid the tortilla next time and see if you do better? I don't take my metformin as a meal time medicine…

I would not make changes without talking with your doctor-- remember that BS will be lower while on meds b/c that is what the meds do- it is proving that they are working.
-
You look amazing and so healthy!!! Congratulations!!

You are looking great!!!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

what do you have your lifestyle set at? Sedentary, light, moderate??? This will make a difference. It has you eatting back your exercise calories so the amount that are using is your base amount - add your 200-300 calories a day for working out into it (at least that is generally what I get).

I just ate 1/4 cup of instant oatmeal with cinnamon in it (cinnamon is supposed to help lower bs spikes) and with a protein drink. I will check my numbers in an hour and see where they are- since it is a half serving of oatmeal with protein, I am hoping it is ok. I like oatmeal.

I had considered it. My diabeties doctor was actually pushing me towards it. Instead, I joined metabolic research center- their program is high protein, low fat and low carb. You eat a lot of food at first but it was real food that I cooked supplemented with protein drinks that are yummy. I lost 30 lb in about 3 months and…

Congratulations!!! Any suggestions for the rest of us? My hubby's A1C went down to 5.7 and he was like- hey, I am not diabetic anymore.... and I was like, remember, it is down in part because of the medications you take. I would anticipate some rise in the levels without the meds- so take it slowly and with your doctor's…

I take bydureon (weekly injection) and 1000 mg of ER metformin at night. I have gotten my a.m. to go down to 120 which is not great but I will take it. I generally eat a protein snack like cheese before bed- that seems to help a lot. good luck- it is frustrating!
-
I don't do pills but will occasionally have a shake or a protein drink or a protein bar- especially in the a.m. when I am running late for work-- don't eat well for Bfast and these are a quick go to.

Wow! Fantastic accomplishment!!!! WTG!!! Keep up the great work!

Wow!! What an amazing transformation!! You look incredible!!!

Stay strong!! That is a great drop in A1C!!! Be proud of it!! Remember that it is a 3 mos average so if you were still higher 3 mos ago, it would have kept your numbers up a little more. Keep up the great work!
