  • More friends welcome!
  • I can always use some more motivation!
  • I'm in the same boat! Sending you a friend request!
  • Think of it in the reverse, if he was taking care of himself and starting to see physical benefits, how would you feel? I bet you would be so proud of him, find him attractive and feel a little bit jealous and left behind. As long as he is a generally good husband overall, being insecure isn't a sign of a bad husband but…
  • That's great! I think its so important that people look at their body composition and eat to nourish your strengths. I will never weigh 120 pounds. I am super strong at 190 pounds at 21% body fat and that is excellent about me. I eat to nourish my body and I challenge it in the gym. I encourage everyone to find out their…
  • My body monitor actually has me burning an average of 3500 calories a day. Muscle is the best calorie burner.
  • It's true, I where a body monitor and have 155 lbs of lean mass and work an active job, I didn't believe it either, but the proof is in the numbers. :)
  • Keep your activity level up. It is so good for you! I would say up your daily intake to around 1600 calories minimum for at least 2 weeks (maybe even 1800) and keep working out and see what happens. I eat 2200 calories a day and burn about 400-600 calories a day through working out. My bmr is around 2700. Google bmr…
  • Are you getting enough? I had to up my calories to see consistent weight loss. 1000 calorie deficit a day is about as much as you should go.
  • I'm 5'6 and weigh 193 lbs. I'm 21% bf. I have 155 lbs of lean body mass so anything lower than 175 for me is scary skinny. My goal is 180. BMI would put me at obese. Learning my body compisition totally changed my relationship with my body. It's incredibly liberating to feel proud and empowered by curvy, muscular strength…
  • Feel free to add me! I started exactly where you are so I know the journey. Don't beat yourself up about mistakes along the way, just always be honest and come back to the lifestyle. You'll do great! The support here is so valuable!
  • There are no additives. It is dehydrated peanuts that removes the oil (hence most of the calories and fat) and sometimes some salt or sugar depending on the brand and flavor. You can also find dehydrated peanut powder in some bulk food sections. It is exactly the same thing and way way cheaper. :)

  • Hey! I am sending you an add. I started out even heavier than where you are, a have stumbled and made mistakes along the way. Keep coming back, it will stick, it will pay off. It is not about being perfect, it is about being honest with yourself and everyday making one more good choice than bad. You can totally do this!
  • I started out at 304. I'm down to197 and have about 40 to go. You can do this!
  • Ran six miles and totally showed up the fit guy on the treadmill next to mine!
  • Hey! I've been on my weight loss journey for about a year and a half. I've lost over 100 lbs in total. About 88 since joining mfp. I lift heavy 3 days a week, and I'm toned but not bulky. I haven't lost any lean body mass in my process, all fat. Lifting will sculpt your body and help it be an effective fat burning ( muscle…
  • Welcome! Take it one day at a time, I started out over 300 lbs. I'm glad I started every day! Feel free to add me
  • There are a lot of opinions on this, but here is what I have done. I didn't plan for slip ups or cheat days, but if I got invited out for dinner and wine with the girls, I went, ordered something I really wanted and then ate a reasonable portion and then had the waiter remove the rest. I enjoyed those moments and the food.…
  • You are an inspiration! What great work!
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend if you want support. :)
  • Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie 1 scp lean dessert whipped vanilla protein powder 1/4 cup pure pumpkin puree 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1/2 cp nonfat milk 6 cubes ice. 1 tsp honey Blend and enjoy!
  • P.S. less is not more, always eat your calories within a 100-200 calorie range!
  • From speaking with nutritionists and trainers, it is best to set a healthy calorie intake (mine is 1600/day) with balanced macro nutritient intake (mine is 50%carb, 20%fat, 30%protein with 25g fiber, under 2000 sodium) and eat that daily regardless of calorie burn. Therefore more calorie burn will be additional benefit for…

  • Feel free to add, Im trying to build a support network too! Im getting into my homestretch and need to keep it up!
  • My tipping point is when I decided to lose weight before my wedding and stepped on the scale and it said 288 pounds. I swore I would never go over 200 pounds and now I was close to 300. -I hadn't worn "real pants' in I don't know how long -I wouldn't be in pictures -I never went to social events. -I lied to myself about my…
