Have you been fit for running shoes? I had similar issues until I got properly fit for running shoes. Each person runs differently and there are specific types of shoes you would want to wear to correct your run. Any running store should be able to fit you. It is totally worth it! As far as how often to run- I would say 3…

A weight lifting routine will have the biggest impact on inches. I was dropping pounds but not inches for a few months and then I incorporated weights and the inches started coming off too.

I'm not going to add myself to the goal list and I probably won't be very active on the board, but I still want to be a part of the awesomeness that is this group!! So keep up the great work!! XOXO Megan

Just dropping in to say hi! I have been sick since Sunday morning, the worst part is the medicine I can take is very limited so it seems to be hanging around longer than usual, but I am powering through and starting to feel better. I hope you ladies are doing great! Miss you!! XOXO Megan

Good Morning Everyone! I haven't been around since the start of the month due to a HUGE presentation at work that totally consumed my life up until Monday afternoon. Then I spent all day yesterday trying to tackle a giant pile of work that has been accumulating while I was working on the presentation. Needless to say its…

Happy February Everyone! My goals for this month are going to be much of the same as last month Allie7383- PR in my Disney Half Marathon, be under 145, log 5 days a week and drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. ~Skreal89 - break the 210 mark for the first time in 3 years; run 4 miles without a walking break; burn…

Hey ladies! I haven't been around since I left for Miami. The girls weekend was amazing, but then I came back to a massive amount of work. I worked 22.5 hours in just 2 days after returning- not fun! I have a huge presentation on Monday that involves the CEO, COO, and CFO among lots of other top executives. A great…

Hey Ladies and Gent! I see I have missed some interesting discussion. I don't have time right now to respond to everyone so I will keep it short and quick and selfish :) Heading out to Miami tomorrow night for a nice relaxing four day weekend in which I will most likely do some work.. boooo. This is all due to recent…

I'm a huge fan of cinnamon while cooking and then after it is done cooking add in 1/4 cup of vanilla greek yogurt, a little tart and a little sweetness- makes a huge amount and the yogurt as a creaminess to it like you made it with milk! So yummy!

Hey Ladies!! Today is MLK Jr. Day here and no one is at work except me :( But that's ok! The only reason I am here is due to my girls weekend trip to Miami this weekend! We leave Thursday night and I didn't want to use vacation hours to take Friday off so I came in today instead. I sure am lucky my job lets me flex my…

Alright I have made a couple of decisions- A) I desperately need to actually keep up with this thread because of how much I miss you ladies, and so I’m going to make it happen no matter how tired I think I might be B) The gym is my friend and I have been quite rude in ignoring it, so its time to make it happen again if for…

Hey Ladies! Just dropping in to say hi! I don't have time right now to catch up on what all of you lovely ladies have been up to, but I will do my best to read up on everything later! This afternoon is my 20 week check up for the baby- which means I am half way there! Crazy how time flies! The hubby also realized how much…

Abby459 - Run 100 miles in January. Find a 1/2 marathon training plan and actually stick to it!! And for my weight, I guess I would like to be under 135 by the months end!! Corbinam - to complete the 30 day shred (which i started today), to drink very little pop (maybe even none at all), and keep logging my food and…

Hey ladies! I am back from a very long trip for the holidays! A ten hour car ride each way, and of course with the holiday traffic it turned into a 12 hour car ride yesterday- the downfall of living outside of DC I guess. Santa was very nice to me, but mostly it felt good to be in nice 70 degree weather the whole time! I…

Hey Ladies! Sorry I have been MIA. Its been a struggle to find the balance between work and getting enough rest and even trying to find the energy to fit in a workout. This whole growing another human being inside of you is exhausting work. So I feel like I have let you ladies down by not joining in on the conversation. I…

Hey Ladies! Sorry I have been MIA. I have been super tired by the time I get home at night and its so hard to get up in the mornings partially because I wake up around 3 times a night to go pee. ARGH! But I am just trying to listen to my body. At the same time I think I am making some excuses about exercising and not…

Hey ladies! Just taking a quick second to give you all and update. Had my 16 week appointment today and we heard the babies heart beat again. It was beating around 159 BPM which is nice and strong. The first thought I had was how awesome it would be to have a heart rate like that a lot of the time for burning some serious…

Thanks Abby!! :) Well I am taking today off as well, my hip is feeling much better but still a little sore and my knees aren't quite 100% yet, and the outside of my left foot hurts, I wonder if I ran weird... Any who- I figure after a second day of rest I should be ready to get back at it. Hope you ladies have a great…

Happy Sunday!! Today I am dying!! My hips and knees are killing me, which would probably be the case even if I wasn't pregnant but with the hormones your body makes to help loosen up the ligiments so your joints can spread it makes it that much worse. But that's just the aftermath. So here is what went down- the race was…

Well ladies by this time tomorrow I will hopefully (fingers crossed) have successfully completed my race plan for the 15k! Its going to be a really cold one- in the mid 30s and hopefully not to windy even though we are running along the river. But with over 20,000 participants I am really excited for the atmosphere during…

This time/pace and effort is very similar to what I do, including the average HR and I burn about 200 cals a mile. If this level is really high for what you normally see from your heart rate then I would suggest changing the battery and going from there. But your HRM is always going to be more accurate than anything else.…
