  • I can use all the motivation I can get, feel free to add me anyone.
  • I found this reciepe for patties you can make out of mostly quinoa, shallots, eggs, and cheese. I cook a bunch on the weekend them and freeze them, they are a 60 second microwave lifesaver for a quick and healthy snack or meal. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-hgFzJ8BGzwMWFRZXpsZjNiSm8/view?usp=sharing
  • That's just beautiful NorthCascades
  • I also live in Denver, feel free to friend me anyone.
  • That is tough, you have to ask yourself, can you bear to sit at the same table and eat something else, or does that take too much willpower? Does the family eat all meals together, or just dinner? Maybe you can go extra wholesome and lean for breakfast and lunch, and small portions for dinner? Or maybe not eat with the…
  • Way to go! It's small regular successes like this that really add up.
  • Sounds like a great idea! Has the group formed yet? I lost 40 pounds in 4 months, then went on vacation and gaind 10 pounds in a week!. Currently have relost 5 of that, and need to stay on track as I am a long way from goal.
  • Congrats on the baby! Way to go, committing to changing to a healthier lifestyle while dealing with a newborn. I'm sure you will find lots of support here, I know I do.

  • Welcome Becky, you have come to the right place! Feel free to friend me. You will find logs of helpful ideas and motivation in the message boards. My only advice for starting is log everything, especially if you wish you hadn't ate it, or it's just a little nibble here and there as you are running after your kids, and see…
  • Yay Kimberlee! Your constant logging of inspirational thoughts and your ups and downs along your journey have been a big part of what keeps me going after I have lapses. I am so glad to have found MFP, and to have you as one of my friends.
  • I usually have a protein shake for dinner, but it's only because I hate to cook. I took all the calories I could have had for dinner and put them into breakfast and snacks. It's more of a time saver and laziness helper than a deliberate thing for weight loss. I chose protein shakes over any other shake because my trainer…
  • Welcome fellow Nebraskan. Great job so far, stay in there. This is an awesome site for support and advice, I don't think I'd have come as far as I have without it. Add me if you would like.
  • Hello! I am here everyday as well. I am a transplant, and I never did get to being a husker fan, but I am definitely an Omaha fan, this is a great city to live in.

  • Lots of good advice here. I love this site. I agree with the others, set your mfp to active, and start some strength training at the least! I wouldn't count normal daily activites as exercise. I never log things like house cleaning on Saturday, etc. , although alot of people do.
  • Great job! That shows awesome commitment.
  • Hello and welcome to MFP. This is a fantastic place to find support and motivation, and many others who are in it for the long haul. You have come to the right place. I'm only 3 months into the healthy lifestyle change journey, but what has been working for me is never stopping. If I fall of the wagon and don't log for a…
  • Welcome to the mfp boards! I use the phone app for tracking, but am addicted to reading a few introductions and a few successes every day at home. I adore this site. I have found good recipes at the webmd site, believe or not. The recipes are very clear, and they give all the nutrition information so you can easily pick…
  • Welcome to MFP. Like you I have tryed, succeeded, then lapsed. I have also tried and given up before succeeding even more oftern. I find this site amazingly supportive and postivie. I have had 'off' days several times in the 6 weeks I have been logging my healthy changes here, but they never last more than a day, unlike…
  • You should be very proud. Those are great stat changes in very little time.
  • Welcome to MFP. I have found this community to be extremely positive and supportive. Good luck with all your goals. Feel free to add me if you like.
  • Hello All - my name is Pam and I am a 49 year old woman living in Omaha. It's nice to find such a large group for Nebraska.
  • 4757 + 15 = 4773
  • Feel free to add me anyone. I am 6 weeks into my healthier lifestyle journey, 15 down, 118 to go. It is so good to see all these posts from people well into their goal and still so enthusiastic.
  • Well this is the place to get motivation and track yourself. Welcome to the site.
  • 62 was a great year! I am hoping to be halfway through my journey by my 50th in November. Just finished the first two weeks of paying attention and honestly tracking myself switching two a healthier lifestyle. My body responded with amazing results at the drastic changes in diet and exercise, I have a feeling the rest of…
  • You can definitely see the difference. It's fantastic. Great job!
  • Sounds like a team I need to be a part of. Please send me an invite.
  • That is fantastic work and dedication. You are an inspiration.
  • Hello, going to the Y and joining this site is a great start. I have over 100 lbs to loose myself. I didn't gain it on medication, but I do have arthritis in one knee and can't do any high impact things like running or treadmill and the doc says even walking is not the best. I too live alone, and am thankful for finding…

  • Having done both ways, at least for short time frames (I'm a terrible backslider) I have to say that working out far increases the benefits of any weight loss. Most recently I was diagnosed with osteo arthritis in one of my knees and told to stop the high impact (I used to do Tae Kwon Do) and loose weight. At first I tried…
